urethane bumper cracked paint repair22 Jun 2005 05:57 GMT1
I was rear ended at a stop sign and now have spider web cracking in the
paint at the bottom edge of the licence plate opening on the rear bumper of
my red 1987 vette.
I have removed the bumper (big job needing long thin arms) and do not see

Any reason NOT to use one? And which is the better of the two - the knife
switch or the one with the screw-down knob? A friend tells me that
regardless of which one I get, I'll have to wait 5 or 10 minutes after
turning it from off to on for the computer to re-set things. That ...

I have an 80 Corvette that I want to put the stock GM aluminum wheels on (it
has the factory steel road wheels.now).
I note that both Western Wheel and Kelsey Hayes made those aluminum wheels.
Are there any differences?  Will either wheel work?

today. i want some instrumentation for the car, i have purchased a
"innovate" LM-1, LMA-3, and the Gauge that goes with this wide band
air/fuel ratio meter, also i have Autometer boost and electric fuel

Are the dealers getting sticker out of the new Vette, or is there some room
to haggle?  I'd like to get the basic model Vette expect that I might get an
automatic so the wife can drive it, haven't made a decision on this yet. :-)

This is a corvette newsgroup . It is not for personal vendettas and
tough guy 'meet me at the corner so i can beat you up'  garbage ;  if
you choose to stay....at least include Corvettes in your diatribe to one

I have a 1995 Chevy tracker that has an erratic idle and stalls in idle. I
have tried a new air filter , new fu le filter, tune ups, but they did not
help at all. I have also installed a new catalytic converter.
What else could cause this problem?

My '87 coupe's A/C is blowing cool but not cold so should I recharge the
original A/C and keep the setup all original for that future collector or
convert to the new refrigerant (R12 vs R34?)?
Surprise, surprise, the cost at local garages (for recharge or conversion)
