| C5 mirror problem | 26 Aug 2005 01:02 GMT | 3 |
Can anyone tell me how complicated it will be to fix the my drivers side mirror on my 97 C5? The mirror assembly is now loose and will not lock into position, and will freely rotate. It was not bumped or bent back as far as I know, I simply noticed it out of adjustment, then ...

| 84' Cooling Problem (Texas) | 25 Aug 2005 20:58 GMT | 6 |
Took my 84 down to the local mechanic and he told me 225 with AC on is normal for my vette. I would think if I bought the car brand new in 84' it would not be running anywhere near 225 but would be locked in at 190 like all new cars. I have replaced the stock radiator with a new ...

| High Gas Prices: Will it affect Corvette Collectability | 25 Aug 2005 14:32 GMT | 14 |
What do you think the future holds for the classics in value and demand when gas tops $3, $4 or $5 per gallon? If we are indeed near or past the peak oil and are headed in another fuel direction in the next 15,20, plus years, will a majority of these cars drop substantially in ...

| 1997-2005 Parking Brake | 25 Aug 2005 02:37 GMT | 12 |
My brake holds on small hills, but not as well as I would like. My 67 and 74 Vettes held ok facing up a hill, but not down. I took it in to Chevy and they said the brakes had to be disassembled and it could be Parking Brake shoes - possibly a rotor. They estimated $1,000 - I ...

| '78 body repair question. | 23 Aug 2005 22:38 GMT | 1 |
I posted this question a while back and got no response, thought I'd try again. I went into Eckler's site to check for 'glass repair materials for my '78. According to the site, their materials work only up to '72 because after that SMC was used. I thought that SMC wasn't used until ...

I've been having issues removing the rear rotors on a 77. I'm not sure if they are just very rusted on or if there is a step I'm missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

just recently finished repainting my 71 coupe with the 2002 corvette electro blue. It looks great and the painter did a really nice job. The problem that has come up, is that on the hood, just above the air breather area, the paint has air pockets. The guy who painted it, took ...

I have a '73 350 w/ Auto Trans. Tonight while driving along, the car cut off, the headlights went off - no power at all. I coasted for a ways so I could get out of the way - after about 30 seconds - power restored and the car cranked and ran fine. I was running AC, radio and ...
