Clicking Noise on 200412 Oct 2005 22:32 GMT8
I recently have a clicking noise that is somewhat random on my '04
Coupe. The noise only appears after about 1/2 hour of driving on the
highway at ~70 MPH. The car typically experiences this when I am in
6th gear. It is not really linked to acceleration as the clicking
catalytic converter12 Oct 2005 09:17 GMT22
You know how sometimes your vehicle just doesn't feel quite right, but you
can't really point to anything that's a problem?  I've been having that
uncomfortable feeling for a while, and I just got to wondering how a person
can check the catalytic converter.  I had a truck that I ...
limited slip clutches11 Oct 2005 23:58 GMT4
I'm trying to find a clutch kit for the limited slip in a 77.  I have found
a kit at the dealership, but I was hoping to find one for cheaper.  If
anyone knows of a good place online to find these please let me know.
Thanks

tickets problem11 Oct 2005 02:12 GMT9
This one is starting to scare me.
Starting three months ago, I began getting traffic tickets in the mail from
cities in California.  (I live in California.)  The first one was from Santa
Ana, and I was ticketed for parking in a restricted zone.  They had the
difference between red and gray calipers on C510 Oct 2005 05:20 GMT2
What's the difference and how can I know which should have came from the
factory on my C5?
Thanks

Build date by #VIN09 Oct 2005 21:43 GMT2
I've been able to decode my 1963 roadster's VIN upto the S (St.Louis). The
remaining numbers are 114229. Would someone with the magic decoder book (or
a link to that info) please tell me what date those numbers represent? I've
looked on line with no luck so far for the last 6 ...
97 Mirror Problem09 Oct 2005 16:13 GMT1
Within a 4 week period, I have had two mirror assemblies break on my 97
coupe.  The problem seems to be with the spring detent that allows the
mirror assembly to pivot if struck.   First, on the drivers side, and 4
weeks later, the passenger side.  In both occasions, there was no ...
Oil pressure gauge in '67/42709 Oct 2005 07:59 GMT3
My '67 427/390 only has a 60 lb max figure on the oil pressure gauge. As
I recall, a '65 327/300 I used to own had an 80 lb gauge (might have
been a 90#... it's been 20 years since I sold the car).
My reason for asking is that when accelerating it's pretty easy to peg
1992 auto transmission problem08 Oct 2005 10:54 GMT4
Step on the gas and the transmission doesn't seem to want to downshift
smoothly.  It "vibrates" as if the transmission is rapidly shifting back and
forth between gears before finally engaging the lower gear.  Happens more
during loading conditions, sometimes finally downshifting ...
Switch Question07 Oct 2005 05:40 GMT7
A friend just bought an 86 coupe.  I'm trying to answer a question for him.
On the lower left side of the instrument panel is a rocker switch.  It's
below the light switches just above where the panel turns under.  He's been
unable to see any action taking place when he toggles ...
Accessing Fault Codes07 Oct 2005 03:43 GMT2
A friend took his 02 Z06 in for a Active Handling Light. He said the service
manager pulled the code up on the D.I.C. I'm going to go through the owners
manual again but I didn't notice anything about this the first time I read
it. Is there a hidden menu on the D.I.C. that allows ...
82 Corvette07 Oct 2005 02:45 GMT5
I am looking at an 82 vette. It has a lot of miles but the present owner
claims it runs great.  I haven't actually heard it run yet.  The body and
interior appear to be in fair condition, the paint is faded.  He is asking
$8500 for it and I was wondering if this sounded like a ...
63 roadster mufflers06 Oct 2005 22:25 GMT4
What is a good glass-pack muffler that is being produced today? I'm looking
for one that is well made and has a bit of rumble under power and a crackle
under back pressure. I'm lot looking for a loud, straight-pipe type, even
though I'm sure they breathe better and give better ...
