OnStar OnImpressed08 Dec 2005 03:28 GMT12
Hi, I got a new 05 c6 coupe and had a flat on the front left run-flat
tire.
I pulled over and pushed the OnStar button and after a minute or so got
the message "Please hold until an assistant is available" or something
Do you drive in the rain?08 Dec 2005 01:09 GMT14
On the way home from the PTO meeting at school last night, I got caught in
the rain, tops off of course. As I was leaving school, I thought it was
clear enough so I left with the tops off.  I was getting some misting as I
stopped for gas and it started to sprinkle.
C5 Prayer07 Dec 2005 23:56 GMT2
A little prayer I found hehehe
The C5 Is my Shepherd, I Shall Not Want. It maketh me burnout on black
pavements, It leadeth me beside busy freeways. It restoreth my soul. It
leads me in the path of quickness, For its names sake
4200 miles in six days in a C6 - fuel use notes for Dad07 Dec 2005 22:44 GMT9
To start off, the C6 turned out to be a very fine long-range cruiser.
The car is comfortable, well-mannered, and not particularly tiring even
on a 900 mile day.
A long 75 mph cruise through moderate rain did not bring a single drop
Strange noise07 Dec 2005 13:25 GMT8
On my 98 when I change gears from drive to reverse or just put it in gear or
vise versa I hear a noise coming from the area of my left rear rim (hub)
almost like plastic grinding sort of sounds like one of those Mexican noise
makers but more plasticky sounding and so I checked ...
HUD polarization ???06 Dec 2005 15:35 GMT29
Haven't used polarized sunglasses since mid 1970s.  Bought a new set of
shades to go with the C5 and opted for polarized lenses.  Back in the
car, HUD was invisible.  Checked with the HUD in mama's car--same also
invisible.  Turned glasses 90 degrees and HUD became visible.  ...

Corvette, high miles.. still warrantable ?02 Dec 2005 13:36 GMT13
ok, I am considering buying a C5 corvette (2000) with 137k miles on it.
The owner lives in Pleasanton, CA and drives to work in South San Jose,
CA, thats nearly 100+ miles as a daily driver. He says the car has
"HIGHWAY miles" Only !  what the heck does "Highway miles" mean, are
C6 stability02 Dec 2005 10:34 GMT3
I would like info from anyone who has driven a C6 with the removable top
both on and off.  How does the car feel both ways?  I'm thinking of getting
a new C6. Not sure if I want a convertible of coupe yet.  I used to have a
94 C4 coupe. The ride with the top off was downright ...

Owners Manual 197601 Dec 2005 07:37 GMT1
I have a 1976 L48 with 50K actual miles.  Not a show car but a very nice car
all the same.  Fun to own and drive.  I have owned this car since 1982 but
never have had an owners manual.  Anybody know where I can get one?
