C4 Voltmeter28 Feb 2006 18:36 GMT5
The battery on my 84 was low and I charged it.  When I started the car
the dash voltmeter read 10.8 volts.  I had the alternator checked and
it put out 14+ volts.  I check the ground cables from the battery and
they are OK.  I checked the volts at the battery without the engine
Cockpit wind break27 Feb 2006 22:16 GMT3
Does anyone have experience with cockpit windbreaks. I have seen several
types. One is a screen that is vertical behind the seats and is supposed
to cut down buffeting in a convertible. Another mounts between the seats
there are a couple of others
'06 Corvette?27 Feb 2006 19:07 GMT14
I've seen some posts on here about a purchase of a blue Corvette from
Les Stanford in Dearborn Michigan. Was supposed to happen last week
and I see nothing on here about how it worked out. Also looks like
they forgot to take it off their web site after it was sold. Vin

C9 Oil Pressure Q.27 Feb 2006 12:33 GMT5
My Oil pressure (guage) is pegging - max. Has been for ages.
Being mechanically inept - I'm a liability anywhere near a car, with a
tool - I have to  pay someone to check it out (I'm assuming I need a new
sensor). How big a job is it, to change the sensor ?

I am going to replace the exhaust system from the manifolds back. Has anyone
bought a kit from an online supplier that they would recommend, or warn me
who not to buy from? It is a 2" stock system (250 hp,w/o AC or any headers,

93 Vette Door Fob25 Feb 2006 04:11 GMT9
I just bought a 1993.  They have a feature that automatically locks the door
when the key fob gets over six feet from the car and unlocks the doors when
you approach the car.  Cool.   My key fob is broken.  Not the battery, I
went to the Chevy dealer and they checked.  The cost ...

C5 Belt Squeak24 Feb 2006 12:30 GMT15
I have a 2000 C5 w/ about 50k.  I read some posts here and elsewhere about a
persistent "squeak, squeak squeak" under the hood.  One fellow, Steve, said
it was the crank pulley/harmonic balancer being wobbley.  I checked it out,
stopped by the dealer, and wanted to share what I ...
68 vette--mildew23 Feb 2006 20:50 GMT5
A friend has a 68, stored in his brothers garage under a cover.  Opened up
the car and everything is a wonderful color of mold.
It has cloth seat covers,  anyone know of a way to get rid of it without any
more damage.
Corvette oil change23 Feb 2006 06:23 GMT11
Still a bit cold but nice enough to get the '72 out and was going to
change the oil first. My question is do any of you have it tested for
contamination during the winter storage? If so I was wondering what
kind of water content shows up? Mine is kept in a warm garage and with
