| Do Big Engines with custom exhaust vibrate ?? | 21 Feb 2007 06:21 GMT | 1 |
I'm about to buy a 96 firebird 5.7 LT-1. I test drove it today, but it felt kind of rough when in idle, but as soon as I steped on the gas, that thing would spin tires. Is this a normal vibration with big motors? The oil pressure would be at a quarter when idling, then half way or a ...

| Just bought a 99 FRC | 20 Feb 2007 18:51 GMT | 2 |
I've been lurking in this group for years and have owned an 82 for a while that's in bad shape and doesn't run. My coworker decided to buy a new black vette last week and sold me his Pewter 99 FRC on Saturday. It's so nice to drive and look at! Spending an hour or two

| Looking at a used C5 - How much for crash damage? | 20 Feb 2007 18:26 GMT | 14 |
Howdy. I looked at a 1998 Corvette today. It has a few issues but it's mostly what I'm looking for. Dealer wants full book retail as "Excellent Condition", of course.

| '75 rear wheel 'creaking' | 20 Feb 2007 18:18 GMT | 10 |
Just bought a '75 Vert, 1 owner w/ 53k miles. Receipts show both rear trailing arms were 'rebuilt' about 8 years ago and car has only gone about 4K miles since. I noticed both sides have a slight 'creaking' sound when I drive beside a building, etc. I can hear the echo. It's ...

| C3 Stock or Custom? | 19 Feb 2007 04:47 GMT | 6 |
I'm getting ready to fix up a '80 vette and am struggling with whether I should restore it to stock or go custom. It's a LG4 that runs good but is pretty beat up. Is there a value in restoring a ca smogged 305 cu in vette to original spec?

| What to Buy | 19 Feb 2007 03:23 GMT | 4 |
Regarding the old adage - "The newset is the best to buy" - what about a C5 (2004 specifically) compared to a ZR-1 (1995 specifically). This car would be a driver not a garager.

| Fiberglass Painting | 19 Feb 2007 00:57 GMT | 2 |
I've put it off long enough, the paint job that is. If anyone has a suggestion in the LA area it would be appreciated. Also, a while back some joker mentioned that you can't just have any schmoe paint a 'vette due to the glass body.

| GM lose money on the Corvette? | 18 Feb 2007 17:36 GMT | 5 |
A friend of mine told me that GM does not make money with Corvette sales, but that they continue to make the car just because it's tradition boosts their image or whatever. Is this true? I didn't know GM was in that bad of shape.

| C4 Radio Repair | 16 Feb 2007 19:22 GMT | 4 |
Had the CD modual replaced many years back by a place in Phoenix that appears to be out of business. Anyone have a reliable place I can send my Delco unit to for a replacement CD modual and a couple of LEDs? TIA

| C4 Brakes | 15 Feb 2007 19:28 GMT | 3 |
At 36k miles my '96 needed brakes. Midas is just down the street and I always took my old pickup there for basic repairs and never had a problem. I figured "brakes is brakes" so I took the Corvette there for new front rotors and pads all around.
