c3 brakes28 Mar 2007 03:46 GMT19
I'm having a problem with a 74 I picked up this spring.  The rear brakes are
practically not working.  The front brakes work great.  I get a lot of
travel in the pedal and it seems soft.  I replaced the rear calipers as one
of them was hissing and bubbling brake fluid.  I've bled ...

Replace starter or just solenoid26 Mar 2007 22:17 GMT1
I have a 96 LT1 that has a solenoid that's going out.   Wondering if it is
best to replace the whole starter or just the solenoid???   Does anybody
have experience replacing one or the other?  Wondering how difficult it
would be to do.
Cars From $10026 Mar 2007 03:12 GMT1
Every month thousands of cars become government & bank property
through various seizure/surplus laws. Because of the constant influx
of vehicles and the enormous expense to store them, the cars must be
sold fast and cheap! Buy direct from the sources and save
'94 Corvette keeps killing its battery25 Mar 2007 01:40 GMT3
Standard 'vette convertible. Only 40k miles and nothing too special in
terms of options. But, I've just installed the fourth battery in four
years. Each spring the battery is completely dead though I try to
start the car once or twice a month during the winter. It's garage
C5 Convertible - Too tall :(24 Mar 2007 21:59 GMT8
I'm in the market for a used C5 or C6. Anyway I had a line on a
beautiful 2001 convertible, probably would have made an offer on it,
but one problem. I think my torso is too tall for it.  When I first
got in it my head was hitting the bar in the soft top, I managed to
c6 2 more things24 Mar 2007 04:18 GMT3
I have had 2 other corvettes, both c4's (93 vert and 96 lt4,, a great
car) both were 6 speeds.
Has anyone driven the paddle shifter .... that is used to driving a
stick.  Try to explain the tradeoff please.  The exotics use paddles
c623 Mar 2007 23:14 GMT1
Saw a 05 c6 red.  I love that car.  Honestly, it is only a couple
thousand less then a new one.  New one, I can lease and leave the cash
in the bank. Used, I have to take the money out of the bank, so I
think I am going new.
corvette storage22 Mar 2007 19:42 GMT3
For the past 6 years, I 'bag' ( car cover ) my corvette in the winter
months, and for the past
5 years, I've had 'rodent' problems, mice and/or squirrels, getting under
the hood building
Aluminum Wheel restoration question.22 Mar 2007 17:41 GMT6
Have been restoring a '77 vette. My aluminum wheels were white with
oxidization.I took off each wheel and spent two hrs each using rubbing
compound and Mothers aluminum polish. I took 30 years of oxidization off
those rims and brought them totally back to life. They shine ...
C7 when?21 Mar 2007 17:18 GMT2
With a 10 yr. old 'vette, I'm starting to think about a new one. Any
ideas when they'll come up with a C7? If it's not too far away, I
might wait. If not, may just take the plunge.
1977 windshield washer switch (TT).21 Mar 2007 15:16 GMT2
I am still restoring a '77 vette and it's going pretty good so
far.. Have had the car for 3 years or so. Presently having problems finding
a part........I usually use Corvette Central , Ecklers or Mid America

Can anyone tell me if a 78 L48 has 2 or 4 bolt mains or if there is a way to
tell without pulling the pan?  Thanks
90 Vette21 Mar 2007 01:05 GMT5
I just picked up a 90 Vette for my son's first car.  Paid $5,500 for
what appears to be a cherry ride.  Seemed like a deal.  Pulled a Carfax
and found only two other owners and no issues.  Obviously there are
lots of little things wrong we are looking for solutions to.  We are
Initial Impressions of the C5/C620 Mar 2007 15:26 GMT33
I used to own a vet, a 1979, which I sold quite a long time ago.
Summers coming and I find myself which some extra cash so I have been
looking in the paper for a late model corvette. I researched that a
new model came out in 2005 so I thought I would look around for a used
