Corvette's appeal is its excellence
Has there ever been a more prolific, more enduring or more successful
halo vehicle than the Chevrolet Corvette?

Overdrive on and off 1984 stick06 Apr 2007 20:04 GMT1
I have a 1984 4 speed stick. When the overdrive switch is on, it goes
on and off. There seems to be no pattern, it is just random. I don't
hear any unusual noise nor does the coolant temperture matter. I
checked the relay wires and they look ok. Any suggestions?

but then again, I've got a simple mind!
On a 1994 Corvette convertible where are the turn signal and 4-way
flasher relays located? The turn signals on my girlfriends car are
intermittently OK, then slow, then OK again so I'm suspecting that the

C5 Z06 Seats04 Apr 2007 19:20 GMT1
Although they look nice, I'm not happy with my 2004 Z06's seats.  They
aren't comfortable.  And they don't wrap around much to hold you in in a
hard turn.  Anyone got any experience with aftermarket seats?  Ricarro comes
to mind.
C4 Windshield Wipers04 Apr 2007 18:41 GMT7
I have a 1990 C4 Corvette and the windshield wipers hit the hood. I
have tried several different brands to no avail. Any ideas?????
C4 Power Increase Suggestions04 Apr 2007 01:11 GMT3
Gentlemen.  I have a 1993 Convt C4 "Black Rose" 6 speed with 15k miles.  I
love the car and plan to keep it for quite a while.  It is totally stock. If
I wanted more horsepower, meaner exhaust note and better brakes what would
you suggest.   I took the car around Road America ...
Diminished Value?????03 Apr 2007 19:53 GMT8
I didn't know you could collect for the reduced market value of your car
after an accident repair, but the articles at www.claimsreporter.com say you
can.  I know most people will not buy a car with a bad Carfax unless it's
offered at a big discount.  Anyone else know about this ...
12522961 Convertible Conversion Kit03 Apr 2007 12:29 GMT2
Does anyone have any idea where to get a GM part #12522961 Kit. This
allows you to install a Glass rear window convertible top on a 1990
Corvette. Please e-mail me if you have one or know of anybody that
does have one. Thanks  bwegner@machlink.com
78 automatic rear transmission seal leak02 Apr 2007 18:09 GMT2
I have a 78 with an automatic transmission.  The rear transmission
seal is leaking a bit and was wondering what the typical cost is to
replace the rear seal and-or if this is something I could do myself?
I do not have a lift but do have some floor jacks.
"Total Loss" lowballing 112701 Apr 2007 18:21 GMT3
Apparently, insurance company repairs as well as 'total loss' claims are lowballed as a general practice.  I just read an article at www.claimsreporter.com that says that you can get on average, the ~$2K difference needed to get a replacement ride (vs. trade-in)... for sure, if ...
Pilot bearing01 Apr 2007 01:26 GMT1
Has anybody ever had a new pilot bearing that was too tight on the tranny
input shaft?  Or can it be too tight if it is installed?  It's in a '69 350.
Thanks for any help.
