1970 Corvette brake lights come on and won't go off30 Aug 2009 15:58 GMT8
After a period of storage I am getting my 350 Hp. stingray ready for
the UK test.  I notice that the brakes - although functioning OK when
I push the pedal I have to pull it up a bit to get the brake lights at
the back to go off.  Do you think this is the brake return spring, -

Old Topic - Left Front Turn Signal23 Aug 2009 19:02 GMT8
My 2001 C5 had the fast flashing turn signal indicator doing it
thing telling me the lamp may be bad.  I have learned how
to change the lamp but this one gets weird. I pulled the lamp
socket from the case and it started flashing.  Nothing wrong
Fiber Optic Cable Hunt23 Aug 2009 17:17 GMT2
An internet search for "end glow fiber optic cable" nets me a bunch of
lighting suppliers that sell it at my desired 1/8" size - but it's a 4
strand cable.  OEM was a 16 strands of a very fine filament in the 1/8"
cable cable.  I'd settle for 8 strands.

GM and Unions15 Aug 2009 19:02 GMT3
GM is out of BK.  Did they renegotiate any union contracts?
I haven't heard of any and I thought that was what they were going to do.

The CARS thing -- Couldn't do it!14 Aug 2009 00:07 GMT26
Lesson on how we get brain softened by our cars.
Years ago my daughter said, "Dad, I love my
car."  I was hard-hearted and told her that
loving a car was nonsense.  After all, it's just

The great American pe nis machine11 Aug 2009 21:57 GMT59
I'm driving my Supra in New Hampshire, and for some reason they saw fit to
put roundabouts in the middle of Keene. I come up to one, and there is a
car already entered to my left, so I wait. All of a sudden I hear, "What
the hell are you WAITING for?!?!?"
CARS 1099 or Tax Question09 Aug 2009 14:30 GMT3
At the end of the year who will get the 1099 for the CARS rebate?
There is no such thing as a free lunch.  The fine print on the CARS
web page does not mention who had to report the rebate as taxable
income.
Electrical whine -C508 Aug 2009 06:13 GMT7
I have a new whine in the car, sounds electrical.  The alternator is
still putting out ~13.5 to 14 volts under load at fast idle.  I can't
tell if it is coming through the speakers or not, doesn't seem to be
radio related.  I run XM on a direct feed.  Any thoughts on anything I

suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
