Know this is problem with the Malibu. Blinks off and on - the light on the A/C
display - causing cold air to only alternately blow. What is the cause of this
and potential cost to repair?

I have a 2000 Olds Alero 3.4L V6 with AC 90,000 miles, it starts to overheat
when sitting in traffic, but as soon as I drive it levels out at the 1/2
mark on the temp gauge.  I am guessing it is the Dex-cool.

I had a 1999 Malibu.  It was pretty good to me except for the leak
problem in the trunk area,  the rotor issue, and quirky A/C unit.
Since then, I have a 2002 VW Jetta TDI, but that damn thing's been in
the shop so many times, I am seriously thinking of getting rid of it.
