What year is my Malibu, the used car dealer said it was 2004 but I was reading about it and the reviews on consumer reports and edmunds said that all 2004 models came with 60/40 rear folding seats but my car doesn't have a folding seat.

I own a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu, let me explain some of the problems that I been having. *Sometimes it takes me up to 4 plus key turns to start the engine, especially when the gas meter is near the half way point.

Re my last posting about brake pads wearing uneven. I purchased new pads and installed them tonight only to find I now have excessive pedal travel. It's to the point where the pedal is all the way to the floor.
