Lower intake gasket23 Nov 2004 12:08 GMT3
I would like to know if a leaking gasket in a chevy malibu would need to be
changed soon or can it tear up the engine as it is getting cold? Is there
another solution to taking around the engine out and what are the real
signes of a leaking gasket?
2001 malibu23 Nov 2004 12:07 GMT11
The transmission on my 2001 Malibu surges only between second and third
gear.  It eventually engages.  First to second and third to fourth are no
problem. If you put the shifter in second and shift manually through third
you can bypass the surge.  Anybody? Throttle body? Tranny ...

Retained Accessory Power22 Nov 2004 05:04 GMT7
I'm not sure if this is programmable somehow, or something has broken, but
as of today, the Retained Accessory Power which leaves the radio power on
for up to 10 minutes after turning the ignition off stopped working on my
2003 Malibu LS.

2002 Chev Malibu LS -- Problems20 Nov 2004 12:14 GMT3
Ok here is the scoop, I locked my factory deck by unplugging not realizing

FM TRANSMITTER19 Nov 2004 04:56 GMT1
This a general car question = (I am a Malibu owner!!) - has anyone used
this device so that they can use an external MP3 player etc. This would
avoid all the wiring hassles etc. Its a gadget you can get at Radio

I just looked under the hood on this car and could not see spark plugs or
even ignition wires.  Where did Chevy hide them?  Has anyone had any serious
problems with this car?

I know this has been discussed many times but I haven't found the answers to

starting it.  I've check on bypassing it but the only thing ...
97 malibu blower motor problem07 Nov 2004 16:28 GMT4
I had the classic symptoms of blower motor resistor failure, Setting 1 & 2
stopped then only 5 would work. I have replaced the resistor twice, (pain
in the Butt), once with a part ordered on-line and once with a part from a
salvage yard, and it still won't work, any suggestions? The ...
