Hello everyone. 2001 Chevy Malibu with a HVAC fan that suddenly stopped
working altogether. Failure was accompanied by a burning smell.
I checked the blower motor resistor, which I found was snapped
(melted?) almost in half. This explains while the usual mode of failure

How do you remove the calipers? I need to replace the pads but cannot get
the calipers off to do so. Thank you.

I get into the car and try to start it and it tries to turn over but nothing
happens except all the lights come on, then i try again and the car starts.
I have 37477 miles on it. Is the switch going or what?
Anyone help me out?

My V-6 2000 Malibu cuts off sometimes at high speeds (65MPH), and
often on bridges. It usually dies near enough to the top that I can
coast over and off the bridge. After a few minutes, it starts up
again. It doesn't happen often...two to three times a week.

I just had my brakes done about a year ago and now when I step on my brakes
and make a left turn the brakes squeak, when I turn right they do not
squeak. Can anyone help me with this problem???

How long has the recall for the 2001 malibu’s turn signal/hazard light
been out. Apparently, mine has never been done and I just got the
paper in mail saying it needs to be done.

I changed the fuel filter, (the old one was so clogged that I couldn't blow
any air through), main problem is that I had my tank siphoned down to empty
(sign of the times?)and tried to start. I put 5 gal of fuel back in and now
it will start for about 3-5 sec and it dies. On top ot ...

When that light comes on it's time to get gas. You could mess up something
if you let it get empty. You can go a few miles but not far 20 miles(i did
this).

which ones fit? or do all of them fit

2001 Malibu, right headlight fogs up until DRL comes on or headlights
come on. Clears up the area in front of low beams when they are on
and high beams when they are on. Never clears on turnsignal. Is
there something where I could seal to stop this or should I just
