99 malibu started to lope at idle speed while in gear. then started to do
it while driving. the check engin light has failed to come on. any ideas.

spakin new bulb, but I cant for the llife of me figure out how to
install it.  I figure its best to first remove the burnt out bulb.

But it will not shift any more after that. It goes in reverse okay. I was
wondering do I need a complete transmission overahaul or could it be an
electrical problem with my solenoid as someone has said?
