I had to replace an belt idler on a 98 Chev Malibu with a 3100 V 6 approx 68k miles the owner says she has to check the coolant level weekly. she has been doing this for a few months now, I am not real familiar with these engines, there are no signs of leaks that I can see,

When to get car inspected all signal lights worked Needed wheel bearing, which I installed...(abs light was on) The mechanic removed the terminal from battery, then car would not start.

Anyone have troubles with their steering column with their 2004 Malibu? Specifically when turning the wheel back to the forward position, I hear a light clunking sound. I have had my steering column replace twice and the steering rack (?) replace once.

Wipers work fine but when I turn them off they go down for a second and then pop up and stay up!!

My 2000 Malibu has done ~59k. Should I trade it in for a new one or hang on to it for a year or two (~9 -15k)?

Has anyone replaced the rear brake shoes on their 1998 Malibu by themselves? The reason I ask, I just picked up a set of shoes and a spring kit and plan to do it myself this weekend. Imagine the look on my face when I opened the spring kit box and there are two large "horseshoe" ...

Car runs for awhile then dies. We have checked the fuel pressure its stays up when the car is running .Then it drops to 10 psi when the car is off. GM Dealer put a new fuel pump about 3 yrs ago. We have also changed the fuel filter. Thanks for all your help.

I have a 99 Malibu and I want to disable the seat belt warning alarm when you start the car with the seat belt unfastened. Can I just connect the 2 wires that go to the latch together with a wire nut to shut off the alarm without damaging the car?
