The Problem: Thumping sound in rear as if there is a knot on tire.
Have jacked the rear up and checked the run out on the tire which is

Darn, I managed to knock the metal rod that tensions the trunk lid
that allows lid to open on it's own.  I tried to put it back on but
with no success. Seems a b*tch of a job.
Any tips/tricks to getting the rod hooked back on?

slow take off and and the car jumps from 1st to 2rd gear and the ses
light come on and off is the tranny got a creak on it. how the tranny
fitler replace 2 times and the was metel in the tranny pan the sec
time was more in it then the first  and it is linking tranny fluit

Working on a friend's 2001 malibu.
Is low on freon.  Trying to add more, but A/C compressor won't kick
on.

2002 Malibu 3.1 V6 auto - not every time but happening more often
since the weather got up to around 80 - under heavy throttle, in
second gear only, the engine will start surging badly when the engine
gets over 4500 RPMs. Plugs and fuel filter have been changed.

I am having a problem with a hole in the firewall. It has nothing to
do with the heater core as I can account for both the inlet and outlet
hoses from that. It is a hole about the size of nickel and water
drains out of it. The car came that way and I am wondering what this
