Can someone point me toward a source of general information on chevy's

Any fix for a Squeaky alternator?07 Aug 2004 17:40 GMT1
My 2001 Tahoe has been squeaking (on and off) for while now.  I just took
the serp belt off and spun the altenator and that is what is squeaking.  Is
there any way to fix or do I need to replace it (or just live with the
noise)?
torsion bar adjustment07 Aug 2004 16:37 GMT1
I have not been able to find any really good reference/service manuals that are currently on the web.  What I would like to do is readjust my torsion bars on my 93 4x4.  My question is, should I adjust them evenly by the number of turns on the adjustment bolt, use a torque wrench ...
Chevy pickup bogs07 Aug 2004 02:05 GMT7
Ok. I have a 94 Chevy Silverado with 4.3 v6. About 120,000 but always
starts and generally runs fine except for this condition. When the
engine is cold, and obviously running richer, it runs strong and
accelerates good. But when the engine warms up, It's bogging under
Someone stole my antenna. What will a new one cost?07 Aug 2004 01:49 GMT9
Some jack-a.s stole my antenna or broke it off for fun. This reason I
say broke off is ,because the stud that the antenna screws onto is broke
off. He could have at least unscrewed the thing. I don't know if the
stud is removeable or if I have to buy another base. Looks like I have

Shifting problems TH40006 Aug 2004 17:04 GMT2
'87 chevy pickup C10 (old body style), V6, TBI, TH400 Transmission.  Low
mileage truck... 95K Km (60K miles?).
Things seemed to be fine (I've only had the truck a month) till I floored it
and brought it up to hi-way speed last week, then...
'97 Blazer cuts out ! Any ideas?06 Aug 2004 16:24 GMT53
I have owned this Blazer for 12 months and in the last 3 months it's taken
to cutting out on me while driving.
There seems to be no pattern (hot or cold, idling or running at 60mph) it'll
just lose power. If it's idling it'll die, but

Recall06 Aug 2004 03:40 GMT26
Got a recall notice on the tailgate cables on 2002 Chev PU several
months ago.  Said basically don't put anything heavy on it because we
are having porblems with corrosion with the galvanized cables.  We will
send you another notice when we get the replacement stainless steel
Loose ball joint06 Aug 2004 00:51 GMT3
OK, here's another 1997 Chevy Blazer question for ya.  Just got done putting
some new rubber on and was going to get it aligned, too. But, the mechanic
said that both ball joints are loose and must be replaced along with the
idler arm before it can be aligned.  To a tune of $250.00. ...
Could a bad front wheel bearing/hub cause a clunk?06 Aug 2004 00:49 GMT4
Lil Jimmy is still clunking away somewhere in the front end, likely the left
front (long story, been beaten to death many times). Recently the left front
bearing/hub assembly has begun squealing again (less than a year on the new
assemblies). Could a bad hub/bearing assembly cause ...
how to vacuum test a 1997 5.7L engine?05 Aug 2004 19:19 GMT1
I'd like to hook up a vacuum gauge to the intake manifold of a 1997
chevy 3/4 ton 4-wheel drive pickup with a 5.7 L engine but it doesn't
seem to have any  port through which to do this. It is a two-piece
manifold, the upper portion being plastic on top of which is the
