| Any fix for a Squeaky alternator? | 07 Aug 2004 17:40 GMT | 1 |
My 2001 Tahoe has been squeaking (on and off) for while now. I just took the serp belt off and spun the altenator and that is what is squeaking. Is there any way to fix or do I need to replace it (or just live with the noise)?

| Someone stole my antenna. What will a new one cost? | 07 Aug 2004 01:49 GMT | 9 |
Some jack-a.s stole my antenna or broke it off for fun. This reason I say broke off is ,because the stud that the antenna screws onto is broke off. He could have at least unscrewed the thing. I don't know if the stud is removeable or if I have to buy another base. Looks like I have

I have owned this Blazer for 12 months and in the last 3 months it's taken to cutting out on me while driving. There seems to be no pattern (hot or cold, idling or running at 60mph) it'll just lose power. If it's idling it'll die, but

| Loose ball joint | 06 Aug 2004 00:51 GMT | 3 |
OK, here's another 1997 Chevy Blazer question for ya. Just got done putting some new rubber on and was going to get it aligned, too. But, the mechanic said that both ball joints are loose and must be replaced along with the idler arm before it can be aligned. To a tune of $250.00. ...

| how to vacuum test a 1997 5.7L engine? | 05 Aug 2004 19:19 GMT | 1 |
I'd like to hook up a vacuum gauge to the intake manifold of a 1997 chevy 3/4 ton 4-wheel drive pickup with a 5.7 L engine but it doesn't seem to have any port through which to do this. It is a two-piece manifold, the upper portion being plastic on top of which is the
