Ac Constant Clicking03 Aug 2004 06:29 GMT14
I have a 1995 C1500 and the AC in it works great cold and blows real strong.
Mostly since the last owner had it completely redone (about 8 months ago)
right before he sold it to me.  But the problem is that it has a very
annoying constant clicking sound but what is really odd is ...

S10 Long bed vs. short bed03 Aug 2004 06:17 GMT5

allowed!
Does anyone know what the length of a long-bed is compared to a
short-bed?

Specialty Chevy 88-93 electric fan kits?03 Aug 2004 03:39 GMT19
I remember seeing in Summit a few years back of a company that made a
complete kit for chevy's 88-93 which included electric fans, harnesses,
and shroud to bolt up and replace the clutch fan. The kit cost about $400.
I cannot seem to find such a kit on summit's website. Anyone ...

Will a 700R4 off of a 1989 K1500 5.7L work?
K1500 squeak03 Aug 2004 02:46 GMT2
My 88 1500 4wd developed a squeak coming from the drivetrain.
It only happens when moving and seems to go away above 20mph.
I jacked up the rear end and sun the tires, nothing.
I put the transfer case in neutral and spun the tires again.  I heard a
spare tire hoist02 Aug 2004 20:40 GMT4
I have a 96 Astro 2 wheel drive.   It is the first van that I've had
with a spare tire under the body.  The last van had the spare attached
to the rear door.
I was attempting to change the spare tire, didn't know that there was
Good way to check injectors02 Aug 2004 17:11 GMT20
I cleaned injectors a couple times by using my mighty vac pump hooke dup to
the rail end of the injector, create a vacuum.
Hook the injector up to a light 5v AC adaptor, and put the engine end of the
injector in a bowl with carb cleaner.
99066F: Is this GM recall real??02 Aug 2004 16:31 GMT9
Hope someone out there can tell me something about this situation - I'm
getting no help from GM.  Sorry for the long post, but the details may be
important.
Here's the story.  I've got a '96 1500K, 5 speed, 4.3l V6.  For a few years
Tow fuse; '97 Chev G1500 Express Van02 Aug 2004 06:06 GMT1
Anybody know if there's a separate fuse installed for the trailer wiring
harness on this van?
I bought the van new with the trailer tow package installed; the wiring
harness was taped up under the frame in the rear, all wires nicely labeled.
Attn transmission experts.02 Aug 2004 04:46 GMT34
I have a 97 GMC with a 4L60E transmission behind a 350 engine. I noticed
a couple days ago when the transmission shifts into 4th there is a buzz
or moan when it does this, right before the converter locks. It only
seems to do it hot. The fluid and filter was changed approx 2500 ...

97 C1500 5.0 Hard start cold?01 Aug 2004 21:55 GMT2
My Grandfather has a 97 C1500 with a 5.0. I think it's a Vortec engine.
It's always been hard to start cold, so I did a full tune up and ran great
when warm, but you just couldn't get nice throttle response when you gas it
in Park. Now, the truck is almost impossible to start cold. ...

So I have a '79 Chevy/GMC 3/4 ton truck and it's at that point in its life
that wierd stuff is starting to wear out and need replacement.  For instance
the clutch linkage.  It has a lot of slap due to worn joints and shafts and
whatnot.  So basically my question is, what is a good ...
