Can someone tell me what the operating water temperature of a 1989 350 Chevy Silverado 4 X 4 with auto trans is? The repair shop replaced the thermostat and now my temp reads 220 degrees. This seems high to me but they say that's what it calls for.

I just came home from a 2500 mile road trip. Now when I crank up my truck it sounds like a diesel engine for the first 2-3 seconds. It never sounded like that before the trip.

Where is the fuel filter on a s10 V6. Or should I ask fuel filters? Truck starts jerking after driving for about a half hour, especially from a stop going up through the gears. When I push pedal over falf way while driving, jerking lessens. Dirty filter?

I replaced the fuel filter last week on my Blazer, now my gas gauge is not registering the correct amount of fuel. I could have half a tank and it registers almost full. Any ideas?? RC

Been really preoccupied with work lately.... finally thought to check the oil and it wasn't even showing on the dipstick. Added a whole quart and that got it up to two holes low. Anybody know how much was in the system before I added that quart.
