I seem to have a problem with my tranny,I "think" its a 4330LE(700r,but electronical),i might be wrong.Anyways I experience hard shifts (lift a jolt) on the first two shifts, from a stop or when I accelerate, what may be the problem?

I am pulling hte motor on my 95 blazer, and need to know if there is any "special" things to look for. I had read that there is a grounding strap in the back somewhere. Also does the starter need to be unbolted?

I'm getting what seems to be a faster than normal fast idle at startup when cold. Settles down after a few seconds as usual. I think this is normal to some degree, but it seems to be getting more pronounced. Any thoughts?
