2003 GMC Sierra 1500HD Crew Cab 2WD
During the last two months, I have two instances where extreme braking was
needed. Both times I heard 'wheel squeal', as if the tires were locking up. I
have 4 wheel Antilock disk brakes on this truck, but not sure if they are
GMC Sierra Fender Repair06 Oct 2004 00:45 GMT3
I put a dent in the passenger side fender this past weekend. I belive
it's going to have to be replaced. The body shop wants $1000 ($225
part/$800 labor),  and I was wondering how easy it would be to install
the fender myself? I've found fenders online at fairly decent prices,

What are your thoughts about chipping? I have a 2000 Silverado PU with the

Any recommendations?

I just purchased a 1998 GMC JIMMY with 115000kms on it and when I turn on
the windsheild defroster there is barely any heat comming out even after I
have driven several kms. The fan motor works fine but the air is barely warm
comming out. Does anyone have any idea what could be the ...
Planning on buying something...05 Oct 2004 23:16 GMT1
I've never purchased a "model year closeout" vehicle, but I'm going to plan
on buying a 2005 Chevy Tahoe LT by this time next year.
Based upon what you all know, can you tell me what I could expect as far as
"discounts" or "lowered prices" among those go? Is it something that
Better Muffler05 Oct 2004 23:13 GMT4
I've got a Chevy Silverado pickup with 5.3L engine.  Can anyone recommend a
muffler to improve mileage with only a small or medium increase in sound
level?

before i slap on the new fly wheel...05 Oct 2004 23:13 GMT1
long story short i was having trouble with my 76 chevy 350 not turning
over and have found out that my fly wheel has some teeth broken off of
them so before i replace the flywheel and all, was wondering if there
were any other reasons or suggestion of why my starter would be eating
"04 Silverado Tire size05 Oct 2004 18:31 GMT3
Hey gang,
I just bought a "04 Z71 Silverado.  I'm looking at putting 17x10 Weld wheels
on it with BFG All-Terrain T/A 37x12.50R17's.  How high do I need to lift it
to get these under it ?
Typical problems with Tahoes?05 Oct 2004 16:33 GMT2
Does anyone have a quick list of typical problems with 2003 Tahoes? I
purchased a 2003 about a month ago, and apparently the seller didn't do too
thourough of a check on it when they received it.
The passenger front wondow motor barely rolls the window all the way up
Fuseable link size05 Oct 2004 15:18 GMT8
I added a battery isolator to my 2000 S10 and have the alternator connected
straight to the isolator and the old line from the battery to the
alternator goes to the Battery 1 terminal of the isolator.  To be safe I
want to put a fuseable link in the line from the alternator but ...
Brakes05 Oct 2004 06:21 GMT5
Hey gang,
As you can tell by my email, I'm no mechanic but I have a question.
I have a 97 S-10 Blazer 4X4 that need brake pads in the front. The
question is, do I need to worry about anything while swapping out the
Colorado Opinions anyone?05 Oct 2004 04:02 GMT19
I am purchasing a new Colorado.  I think it is a great filler between S-10
and Silverado.  I live in Boston, so size is an issue.
I like my Z71 truck with extended cab.  It is bigger than a Ranger and S-10.
The I-5 engine is more horsepower and torgue than the Ford and Chevy V-6.
Tranny hesitation and shifting hard05 Oct 2004 03:43 GMT15
I have a '93 1500 2wd truck with auto tranny.  Lately it has had a
hesitation engaging when taking off from a stop.  It also shifts quite
hard, it used to be a very smooth shifting trans.  It has the proper
amount of fluid in it.  Does this sound like a simple fluid change or is
95 Sliverado Z71 1500 stalling05 Oct 2004 03:36 GMT6
My 95 Sliverado Z71 1500 will stall out as I am driving it. Most of the time it
starts right back up. Sometimes it takes a few minutes. Any Ideas???
Rear window flag How to clean?05 Oct 2004 00:43 GMT2
I have one of the flags in the rear window of my truck.  The kind that you
put on the window and you can see out of the truck.  When it was new it was
fine but as time goes on it is getting harder to see out (really bad at
night).
