Does anyone in the Oklahoma City area have a good driveshaft for a 81 GMC 1/2 ton short bed automatic? I'm not having any luck at the salvage yards.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Chris

thanks to all for the info . I just needed new bushings and a pin .I supported the door with a transmission floor jack and a block of plastic foam , had to remove door hinge Spring then hit the pin out and the replace Bushing . the worn holes

I need to repair something on my truck and it sure would be a LOT easier to get to if my truck bed was not on... I looked underneath the truck and it looked fairly easy to do. It looks like all the electrical is brought to the bed by plugging into it in the rear.

I'm afraid my torque converter is on it's last leg. I have a NBS '99 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 5.3L....what should I expect to pay? I live in TX, labor generally runs about $40-$45/hr.
