anyone know what size extractor to use to get a broken stud out of my
tranny? went to change the fluid out and busted one of the heads right off
clean. I figure I just have to centerpunch the stud and drill it and then
try and extract it. Only problem is I don't know off the top ...

From EDMUNDS:
"Cons: Cheap interior materials, questionable build quality."
"Chevy takes a step backward this year with the return of rear drum
brakes, as opposed to last year's four-wheel disc setup."
Fast idle on carburator17 Oct 2004 00:32 GMT1
Hi all, I've got a 81 chev half ton, and I need to know how to set the fast
idle for when the engine is cold.  Obviously I'm pretty green, so any detail
you can give me would help alot.
Once the engine is warm, it runs perfect.  But when it's cold, each stop I

Newbie with a Suburban.....an intro.16 Oct 2004 20:11 GMT8
Hello all. I just bought an '89 Chev Suburban.....trying to prep it for a
safety, and for an emissions test. I thought I'd check things out at this
newsgroup. The truck is a 1500 4X4, quite a few miles (290,000 km). It's a
little rough; but quite straight and not much rust. I don't ...
Engine making a clicking noise16 Oct 2004 19:01 GMT6
I have a 95 GMC k1500 with a 5.7 L and I can hear a steady clicking sound.
It is hardly noticeable when the truck is cold but after about a 30 min trip
I can definitely hear it from in the cab and is very predominate when I

I have a 1998 GMC Sonoma  in which both the radio control faceplate
and the climate control faceplate  of the dashboard is

cluster as well. Its doing this most of the time but not every day.
now what???? (was power booster)16 Oct 2004 15:38 GMT14
ok, so we replaced the master cylinder, we bench-bled it as directed, then bled
the brakes.  started it up, and instead of a full-floor mush pedal as before it
was now like the engine was off, a hard pedal with little grab requiring a very
hard push to stop the truck, and the engine ...

Cant decide if truck wants to shift into overdrive or not16 Oct 2004 00:15 GMT11
When I am driving I approach a hill and with steady pressure on the gas
pedal when I start to rise up the hill my truck feels like it is trying to
kick into overdrive and then decides that it does not want to and kicks
back out.  It only does this when I am going up a hill.  I just ...
