Today  I replaced the fuel pump and it was the worst job I have ever
attempted to do myself. I can guarantee you that next time I'll just pay
someone to do it. LOL

I recently changed the gear ratio in my 84 silverado from 410 open to
342 -w- locker, is working perfect.
I would like to know if any one can help me -w- info as to who to contact to
find out the precise gear to install on speedo  cable to make the reading on

I replaced the starter on my 90 GMC (350 cid / auto trans) but didn't have
time to check the clearance.  It's starting fine and running with no new
noises (i.e. flywheel grinding or something)... should I yank the inspecting
cover to check the clearance?  What problems could ...

I took my truck in to Tuffy the other day to see if I had any worn parts on
my S-10. They said idler arm which I knew needed replaceing, and they also
said the pit man arm. After buying the new pitman arm I was thinking how the
hell could something like this be worn, anyone ever ...

I was wondering about the weight ratings on synthetics.
I would like to run it in my smaller engines like my lawnmower and
snow blower, I was even thinking about changing out the oil for my
shop compressor and switching to synthetics.

I've never personally seen the Bose stereo system in a Silverado.  Where
does the sub woofer enclosure mount?  2003 model, BTW.

'98 Burb.
Everything's right there, and I can smear grease on it...but can't get the
creaking to go away.   Seems like there SB some technique to get the grease to
penetrate to where it's actually needed.

christmas. General auto work is the idea. What should I be looking for as
far as minimum psi, hp, etc?

 I would like to put bigger tires on my `04 HD.I have heard that you
have to recalibrate the computer.I also heard that you can go bigger,but
only to a certain size. Is this true,or just a bunch of bull?

The starter on my '94 Cheyenne, 4.3 L, with 146k has just started not
engaging the first time I try to start the truck.  The second try it engages
and starts normally.  Is the starter going out?

When the temp hits 38 degrees F,my mirror flashes "ICE" I have looked in
the manual,but have found nothing.

Where and what does the egr valve look like on my truck? Check engine
has been on, autozone scanner says egr valve. Is that it on the
passenger side near the front? Part # 025926303.  Doing a google image
search I can only come up with egr valves of all makes. I can't pin

I just put a new engine in my 96 4x4.  I've got no fire to the plugs.
The distributor seems to be set correctly (TDC on #1 cylinder, the
coil is good (I had it checked) and I replaced the distributor cap and
rotor.  I did NOT however change the plug wires.

i have a 98 silerado pickup 5.7 we were changing fuel pump in tank and one
line was broken the one that needs a tool to remove could we just cut it at
the end and put a fuel line with 2 clamps
