Drops in to 4 Wheel Hi15 Nov 2004 23:42 GMT2
For the second time in about two months my 1999 Z71 jumped into 4 wheel Hi
from 2 wheel hi by it's self. Both times I was pulling into a the same
parking lot that sort of bounces the truck as I turn right in to the parking
lot. Does this sound like the infamous 4x4 dash switch going ...
Batteries for 83 Surburban15 Nov 2004 21:50 GMT20
My 83 Surburban, 4x4, 6.2 diesel, no longer starts easily, and testing the
two batteries reveals that one is bad. No surprise here: the batteries are
ancient off brand 80 Ah units installed by the previous owner.
My guess is that I would be better off replacing both batteries, not ...
Cruise on 99 burban15 Nov 2004 16:51 GMT6
I have a 99 Suburban K1500, 5.7L.  Over the past six months the cruise
control would shut off while having it set cruising down the road.  Now it
is to the point where 95% of the time it won't even set.  Any ideas on what
I might look for?
Sierra Antifreeze/Coolant15 Nov 2004 16:37 GMT9
After reading other threads about coolant, I noticed Sierra has never
been mentioned. Recently, I put in a new rad, hoses, and water pump... I
thought I'd try the Sierra, as it's supposed to be less
caustic/corrosive, and otherwise less problematic.

can get what I'm looking for (sorry).  89 Chevy Full Size pickup with a 305
TBI.  Just pulled 2 codes, Code 15 and Code 22.  I found a generic list of
GM Codes and the 15 is Coolant Temp Sensor (didn't ...

Typical brake life on 2500HD15 Nov 2004 02:42 GMT6
I had to get front brakes, including rotors, replaced on a 2001 Chevy 2500hd
CC 6.0 yesterday. The truck has somehere around 37k miles of light duty
usage. Pads were not yet worn out, but rotors had builtup areas of rust
causing uneven pad wear.  The mechanic says this is a common ...

I have 69000km on my 2000 GMC Sierra SLE 4X4. It is a daily driver. I never
haul anything in the bed...only a 500lb snowmobile a couple of times in the
past. The tranny fluid has never been changed. ...
