I have a 1995 S10, 4.3 engine , manual trasmission and the RPM when

Can anyone shed any light (pun intended) on an intermittent problem I'm

Ok, after performing a compression check, it checks out fine.  Compression
climbed as needed and didn't notice any decline in pressure when cranking
was finished.  Lookin at the Haynes manual, I guess I need to look more in
