Got a 91 xcab with the 350 and an automatic in it.  When I first put it in
gear I get a metallic "clunk".  Any ideas?

Chrome's peeling off big-time...sheets of it rolling up.
But that's been going on for a few years now and there's no rust on the exposed
metal.
Would that be because there's yet another layer of something over the steel?

I have a 1992 S10 Blazer with 312,000 miles on it.  The body is still pretty
good.  Excellent paint, just some rust starting to appear finally.
Entire suspension is new, interior is almost perfect.  I want to keep
