I think my fuel pump is faulty on my 2001 Safari18 Feb 2005 02:25 GMT8
I live on a noisy road, so I could not hear if the fuel pump is
working.  I checked the fuse.  I loosened off my the line to the fuel
filter to see if there is pressure and there is none.  When I turned
the key to the run position to see if the loosened line would squirt

degrees would have to start on gas and then to e85. E85 is 85 percent corn
alcohol and 15 percent Gasoline. I have a plant 5 miles ...

Silly Car Washing Question17 Feb 2005 01:58 GMT8
I just went outside a 1/2 hour after I dried my truck after washing it.
I have water lines down the truck from from window and door crevices.
I thought I did a very thorough job drying it this time.  Any solutions
to stop residual water from streaking your truck?

engine swap question17 Feb 2005 01:39 GMT1
Hello, we have a '89 1/2 ton Chevy with the 350 and 4 wheel drive. The engine in the truck has given up the ghost at
246,000 miles. We only use this vehicle as a secondary vehicle for moving things and never tow anything. But that
obviously has stopped now that the engine is gone. ...
A/T vs. M/T Tire Questions16 Feb 2005 21:29 GMT2
I need to get new tires for my 2001 S10 ZR2.  My only experience with
off-road tires are when I owned a '97 Explorer and had 31 x 10.5 x 15 Wild
Country TXRs. I also had them siped. I really liked these tires both on the
pavement and off. I live near the mountains and don't want ...

Finally got my new(to me) 2004 Silverado Z-71 w/5.3 home. 19,890 miles and
Pop always took it to the dealer or Jiffylube(pfft!) for oil changes. I plan
to do my own  _IF_  4x4's aren't too difficult. This one has the Z-71 off-
road skid plates, according to the window sticker and ...
Breaking in a new truck16 Feb 2005 15:09 GMT7
I realize that the break-in period isn't like it used to be.
But in my last four new ones I would do the first oil change at about 3000
with regular oil and then at 5000 and every 5k after that with Mobile 1.
In a recent post about oil & filter it was recommended that the transfer

Body style change?16 Feb 2005 06:44 GMT4
I have a 2002 extended cab LS Z71.  It is the first 4 wheel drive
vehicle I have ever owned.  We love it.  Best vehicle I have owned by

one mile each way to work.  Almost traded it in on a 2005, but decided
