I have a 1999 1500 Suburban with about 110K on it. It runs fine, but there
is a noise when I stop. It sounds like (as best I can describe it) a shock
sticking and then letting loose as the CG shifts back when the truck stops
moving forward <THUMP>. It sounds as if it coming from ...

Proper Plaement of O2 Bung02 Mar 2005 23:07 GMT4
Just bought some Flowtech Headers from Jegs for my 89 surban ($96
delivered!) The driver side exhaust manifold has the 02 sensor mounted
in it. Where should I weld in a o2 sensor bung for proper placement and
function. SHould I tap into the header itself down by the collector?
Headers and K & N02 Mar 2005 20:57 GMT5
I've been told that I might get 40hp with both these installed in my
95 S-10 Vortec.  Should I use a "Y" pipe and the stock exhaust to
keep some back pressure?  Thanks!
'05 K1500 Tires02 Mar 2005 13:01 GMT2
I'm looking at replacing my stock tires (265/70/17) with something
larger and was wondering what my options are.  I'm wanting the Goodyear
MT/R's in 285/70/17 or preferably 305/70/17.  Has anyone tried either
of these sizes on an '05 Crew Cab Silverado w Z71.  I'm willing to cut

Summit Racing VS Performance Products01 Mar 2005 21:30 GMT7
I'm going to be buying several exterior & interior accessories.  I've
noticed SR seems to have better prices, but I've ordered from PP a few times
and was satisfied with their service.  Anyone have any input on SR?

Spark plug specification question01 Mar 2005 16:42 GMT1
2000 Silverado, 4X4, 5.3 L
My owners manual calls for a 41-952 spark plug with a gap of .060, I know
this was later changed to a 41-974. I just bought new plugs and got 41-985's
with a gap of .040 (clearly marked "do not change gap"), I checked with a
WTB: Transmission - 5-speed 2x4 for 1988 or 1989 Chevy C1500 pickup01 Mar 2005 06:19 GMT1
Want to buy a 5-speed manual transmission for a 1988 or 1989
Chevrolet C1500 2x4 pickup. I am pretty sure it is called a "GetrAG".
Possibly a model NV3500. It's VERY confusing, because everybody
tells me something different. GM said that they only made two manual
E85 fuel01 Mar 2005 04:35 GMT2
Well doesn't seem anybody knows much about using E85 fuel in a 99 Chevy
Silverado.  E85 is 15% gas and 85% alcohol. I understand the principles of
operation. What I don't understand is why it wouldn't be good to use it in
my truck. Somebody please give me a mechanics reason why I ...
