While driving my 85 chevy S10 Blazer I hear this constant ticking
noise........ also at around 50 miles per hour on hard acceleration I get
this rumble which sounds like it is in the tranny or something........ but
the car is driving fine otherwise with good acceleration..........

Is it just me or does it look like a cluster-fudge in there? Is there an
easy way to do this without moving the headlight assembly? I don't want
to have to readjust the headlights..

I know a guy who has always squirted a shot of 2-stroke oil into the gas
tank of his Chevy truck at every fill up.
He says this makes engines last longer.   He has had only 2 old trucks in
the last 30 years or so and the one he drives now is a 1976 with over

94 s10 blazer 4.3 cpi
It's still beeen cold around here but details are:
Starts up great cold. after warming up and driving for awhile when at a
stoplight it shows the oil pressure dropping to about 10 on the dash

Wife pulled into driveway said the check gauges light came on and temp red
lined.  Upper radiator hose blown loose.  I flushed the system and changed
the thermostat. Put in new fluid. Just idling in driveway temperature still
keeps climbing, no heat out of heater, heater hoses cold. ...

I'm getting ready to replace an injector on my 99 2wd Silverado with a 5.3.
From what I can tell, it looks like I will need to remove the fuel rail and
then the injector should screw out.  Can anyone offer any advice to make the
job easier?

I was wondering if there is any (somewhat cheap and somewhat easy) way to
increase my horsepower? I do not really want to install a blower or any
thing  like that. I have a 98 5.7 liter that I use to pull a travel trailer.

Hey Gang, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between
LT and a ZR2? I like the profile of the ZR2 and was wonder if there are
some GM bolt-ons or wheel changes I could do. I'm not really worried
about making equal in off-roading, just appearance.

i just bought a 1998 suburban with 86k miles and notice that i can hear the
fuel pump while standing outside.  louder than most other suburbans.
replaced the fuel filter and a bit less noise.  do i need to worry about
this and replace the $$$ fuel pump before it goes out while on ...

I posted a few days ago about a leaking manifold gasket... was trying to
nurse it along another week or so so that a mechanic buddy of mine can
assist on replacing the gasket... well that can't wait any more... damn
thing let go with a vengance for me on my drive back from the ...

When it's cold it revs really high for about 7-10min.  When I press the
clutch it races.  Otherwise, it runs great, revs normal when it warms up.

I'm looking for a shop in NC that can do aftermarket exhaust work on
an '03 Silverado with a 4.8 V8.  I'd like to find someone who knows
what works best with this engine - not just someone who wants to slap
on 3" pipe and some Flowmasters.

I have a 90 2500 RWD Suburban with a 5.7L engine. The AC compressor is
grinding even when it is off. As I live in Alaska, I really don't need AC
and don't want to pay for repair. What is involved in removing the
compressor? I'm assuming there is some kind of pulley that replaces ...

Hey all I have a 1991 blazer auto 4x4 4.3 that is driving me nuts. When you
start the engine cold and drive off it has a mid range rattle. stop the
truck and the rattle goes away. It only rattles while you drive and its
consistant with the rpms. Im thinking it could be the rockers ...

Don't know if any of the regulars here recall it.... but I sold my '72 sedan
today... hate to let her go........
