Ignition timing for '85 S-1023 Apr 2005 14:12 GMT2
I just replaced the distributor in a 1985 S-10 V-6 2.8L. The sticker
under the hood is worn to oblivion. Any suggestions regarding where to
set the ignition timing? Thanks!

My son has just replaced the 2.2l engine on his '94 S-10 pickup with a 3rd

Practically everything under the hood is new (except for the starter, which
just cooked on him for good measure), but he failed his emissions test for

The A/C in my Blazer Is on the blink22 Apr 2005 23:12 GMT6
The compressor for my A/C turns on and off all the time, sometimes I get
cold air but most of the time I don't. I bought a can of 134-a re-charge
that has a guage on it, and when I hook it up, it reads 'over charged'.
Would my system being over charged cause this type of problem?
92 S10 vacumm problems22 Apr 2005 14:43 GMT5
I have a 92 S10 with the 4.3.  I recently took the temp control module out
to clean the connections on the wires.  They get real hot when using the
medium fan setting and melt it or glaze over the connections.  I cleaned
those and the fan works again.

Dumb, but funny?22 Apr 2005 04:13 GMT2
Hello all...
A few days ago I came across a lonely 20 ounce plastic Sprite bottle in the

rebuild/overhaul vs. new motor22 Apr 2005 03:44 GMT18
I have a 1983 C-10 pickup with a 305, 188K miles. It currently runs okay,
but I'm thinking it'll probably need some engine work in the next year or
two.
I'm thinking of either having it rebuilt, or putting in a new motor
Engine light flashing?22 Apr 2005 01:40 GMT1
4 months after buying my 2004 Colorado with I5 engine my engine light
started flashing. Garage said it was a mis-fire in one of the
cylinders. They couldn't find any reason for the mis-fire so they
switched plug wires and flushed the fuel system.

Hello all. My 2002 Tahoe is driving me nuts. It started with the
alternator making a squealing noise and then going out. We replaced it
and the battery light started coming on periodically. We had the new
alternator tested and found it to be faulty so we got another one and

Currently has Firestone Wilderness LE's which are AWFUL in the snow. Well,
they are just OK but, slippery stuff makes things very dicey.
What would be a good year-round tire for the Northeast US? Of course, I
