Transmission Cooler Installation - GMC Canyon19 Apr 2005 02:45 GMT23
So my order from etrailer has shipped and should be here soon.
As one who generally doesn't like rubber hoses and clamps, I am wondering
whether I should put copper or steel lines in place when installing the
cooler.  How much pressure is in the system?  Is there any reason why I
93' G20 conversion van Oddball electrical problem19 Apr 2005 02:31 GMT1
The van will periodically go haywire. It's fine one minute then all of the
sudden, it won't shift out of first gear, the power windows won't work, no
dash lights, no blower front or rear, and a couple of other things I can't
recall at the moment. It's got me stumped. I would greatly ...
Rear differential puzzle18 Apr 2005 20:36 GMT3
Long story, but here are the highlights.  DANA 44 axle, the pin that
holds the whole business together apparently came loose and broke about
1-1/8" off the end where the retaining pin/screw goes.  In the process, it
hogged out the hole in the carrier to an oval I can stick two ...

I have a '95 Suburban 4X4 1/2 ton with 102,000 miles.  Engine runs great,

'96 Tahoe drive train problem17 Apr 2005 21:06 GMT7
I have a '96 Tahoe that squeaks and jerks every time I stop or start. The
dealer tells me that it is a drive shaft lubrication problem, where the
drive shaft yoke slides onto the transmission output shaft. After spending
$750 of my money, the dealer now tells me they don't know ...
New to me 6.5l turbo diesel17 Apr 2005 17:49 GMT6
I just purchased a 94 turbo diesel 133,000 miles for 3000 dollars. I
felt this was a pretty good deal. It's a straight drive truck. My
question to you guys is what's the best bang for the buck power and
mileage wise for these diesels. Chip or exhaust system? I know which
Suburban Tapping when cold17 Apr 2005 17:33 GMT7
99 GMC Suburban just turned 100,000. When it is cold it makes a fairly
distinct tapping noise when first started. The sound increases/decreases in
concert with engine speed, and stops after about 30 seconds. It only happens
the first time the truck is started each day.

I have a 94 GMC 4x4 1/2 ton Sierra with a soft or mushy brake pedal.  My
older 84 GMC was the same way. I tried everything with it to stiffen up the
pedal but no go.  I've been reading that this is  "normal"  for the GMC.
And has been corrected on later models.  Does anyone know ...
