I am looking into buying A 1993 5.7L v8 Silverado K1500 that has the factory towing package. I need to tow a horse trailer with GVWR of 7,000 lbs. The trailer in question is a 2000 Thurobilt SE and has a hitch weight of 375 lbs.

Any suggestions as to the best way to tackle this. I gather I have to drill out the rivets holding in the original ball joint. What size of drill bit should be used? Is it better to just gring the rivet heads off? Is this a job for a reasonably competent home mechanic or should I ...

Hello Group, I have a '96 S-10 w/ the 4.3L 4x4 and a manual transmission. Sometimes when I take off from a stop it snaps out of first gear. Very hard in fact that sometimes it goes into second. It is totally random one day it did it three

My low beam headlights suddenly stopped working ('96 Tahoe). They still work for the daylight running lamps though, so bulbs are OK. High beams are OK too.I'm assuming the dimmer switch is the problem, but any advice would be appreciated.

SAT I had a fuel pump replaced... I was working nights last week.. Go in at 7P off 7A.. I went to eat with family, I meet them there.. Came out got in truck and no head lights.

When in two wheeldrive the driveshaft going too the front turns. When I put in 4wheel it doesn't move, so the tranfer case should be ok right? Is there away to check the front axle, or something else I should check. There was no loud bang or again thing it just won't engage into ...

is it normal for my truck to be hard to turn in four wheel drive. which ever way i try to turn the steeering wheel wants to pull the other way. also how fast do u have to be going when u let off the accelerater to take it out of four wheel drive. auto locking hubs of course

If I wanted to buy a new crate transmission for my 91 2wd Silverado with the 5.7L automatic, does anyone know what part number that would be? My truck has 257xxx on it and the tranny has been rebuilt twice. Think the next time I will go with a new GM crate tranny.
