i my 93 jimmy it shifts hard from first to second gear. But not in any of
the other gears. I heard it was a universal joint going bad, but i found
out its not that. A mechanic tested my transmission pressure and said it
was high. He said something about the truck

Just purchased a 2005 Colorado and loving it.  The front headlight covers,
that are clear plastic, are nice and shinny.
My question, can anyone tell me the best way or what to use to keep the lens
covers nice and shinny and clear?

 Been driving my Dad's 1990 GMC Sierra 4x2 5.7l truck in the hopes of
solving a problem he has. Any help would be appreciated. Truck has
112,000 miles on it. Truck starts up first try every time. But once
started it idles rough and the rpm's rise and fall by about 500 to 1000

96 Silverado 305 140k has a warm up stumble. Seems to go away when it
gets to operating temp. I have not ever replaced the EGR, don't really
know where it is on this truck. Could that cause this symptom?

Finally got around to installing my transmission cooler.
I popped the front clip from my '04 Canyon this afternoon and installed it
using the metal brackets.
The installation went fine, but the hook-up didn't.

:idea: Can someone tell me if it is necessary for the o2 sensor to be
screwed into something or can it just hang? The engine light keeps
coming on and the code is showing o2 sensor. They are all new but do I
need to get it screwed in before the computer will detect it working

I have a 89 Chevy Suburban with a 350, auto transmission and AC.   Looks
like the head gasket needs to be replaced.  A fel-pro head gasket kit is
~$65, and has intake manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, valve cover
gaskets, head gaskets, etc.

i have an s10 with the 1.9L isuzu engine with a 4 speed manual paired
to it.  i need to know if the stock tranny in my truck will bolt up to
a 305/350 bolt pattern.  if not, what manual transmission will make
for an easy, not-to-much work engine swap?

I have a 98 GMC Suburban with a perhaps a steering problem.
Normally, when driving on a freeway and turning on a clover leaf or a 90
degree exit ramp, one has to apply a constant force on the steering wheel to
keep the vehicle on the road.

I bought  a 2002 silverado 1500 4X4 4.8L new and at
30 000km the transmission needed a rebuild something about the sun ring
planetary gear bla bla bla. It was under warrantee. Anyway I now have
98000km and it seems like the same thing has happened, this time there is no
