'93 Chevy 4x4 z7108 Aug 2005 22:36 GMT4
I bought this truck from guy who had put a different Transfer case in it.
The one he put in came out of an '88 or '89 model.  The problem is the
switch (on the transfer case) that locks in the front end is a 2 wire
switch & the one that was in the truck is a 3 wire.  I need to know ...
1969 250 Chevy Pickup Engine08 Aug 2005 06:39 GMT1
Thanks to all for the suggestions. What it turned out to be was a
simple screw that came out of the points. Once new screw installed and
gapped properly the truck started right away. The distributor was set
properly as I did check that as well. The remanufactured engine runs

My dad if finally ready to get a new truck after driving his current '88

transurgeon :chips'nflakes in 4L60E filter08 Aug 2005 06:38 GMT4
Could you explain the oil px and circulation system of the 4L60E?
I have just examined the 4th filter (drained pan change filter every 25000
Kilometers) and have noted very minor metal flaking and a brittle dark brown
coloured material trapped in the filters.
98 vs 99 Suburban08 Aug 2005 03:05 GMT5
I am shopping for a used suburban, but have noticed that there are a lot
more 99s for sale than 98s.  Is there a reason for this?
K1500- 1/2 ton with 3/4 ton drivetrain?08 Aug 2005 01:09 GMT2
My father-in-law has asked me to try to find some info on this setup. He
said it was a factory option for about a two-year period (maybe '98-'98
range) and could be identified by the 8-lug wheels.
So, yes or no. Does this beast exist? If so, what do I need to be Googling
fuel pump on 95 Chevy S1007 Aug 2005 23:41 GMT2
I have low fuel pressure, about 11 lbs., I've put 2 new pumps on and no
change. What do I do next?
Trip Odometer 98 Jimmy07 Aug 2005 23:08 GMT4
All,
I have a 98 Jimmy w\90K miles.  I just had a tune up, new distributor, new
radiator, and new water pump.  The truck overheated not too long ago.  If
the truck sits for a while (8 to 10 hours) the trip odometer resets itself.
Educated guess please07 Aug 2005 18:30 GMT3
This is the text of a post of mine from July 9th.
I have a 2001 Jimmy SLE with 46,400 miles.
Today while getting on the highway with four people weighing in at 550 lbs
and 75 lbs of additional load I accelerated from about 35 to 70 and the
2003 suburban -- how much mpg07 Aug 2005 16:05 GMT4
I'm looking at buying one of these for the first time; my first ever 8
cylinder-- Tell me how much MPG I can expect-- I'm told 14-18.    I'm okay
with that-- but not a mile under....
Rear-End07 Aug 2005 07:46 GMT4
Has anyone had a problem with the rear-end on an '04 2500 HD 4×4
w/4.10 gears? Took mine to the dealer today cuz it started clunking real
loud.I don`t even off road with it.

2000 S10--Lights on all the time???07 Aug 2005 04:39 GMT2
Today I noticed that all my exterior lights are on all the
time....even though it's sunny.  If I push the override switch at my
headlight switch several times, like I'm trying to turn off the DRLs,
they go off and I have manual control with the headlight switch.
parking brake light 90 4x4 k150007 Aug 2005 00:06 GMT2
My parking light is on and I was wondering if anyone could tell me why.
My brake lights work, no slug in the peddle, don't have to press hard on the
brake to get it to stop, there is no play in the peddle, there is no air in
the brake lines, there are no leaks, and no noises ...
Non US market vehicle06 Aug 2005 19:10 GMT1
I am shopping for 95 - 99 Chevy/GMC 2500 w/350.  This is to be a
work/farm truck with some towing (2 horse trailer).
I've come across a 97 GMC truck that says it was manufactured in
Montreal, QC and imported to the US.
How to replace the electric window motor in a 93 Jimmy06 Aug 2005 16:44 GMT2
Just a bit of advice from personal experience.  The window motor
in my 93 S-15 Jimmy needed replacement.  I bought the replacement motor
from a dealer.  The enclosed instructions, along with the (pretty
worthless) Chilton manual were not adequate.
