| '93 Chevy 4x4 z71 | 08 Aug 2005 22:36 GMT | 4 |
I bought this truck from guy who had put a different Transfer case in it. The one he put in came out of an '88 or '89 model. The problem is the switch (on the transfer case) that locks in the front end is a 2 wire switch & the one that was in the truck is a 3 wire. I need to know ...

| 1969 250 Chevy Pickup Engine | 08 Aug 2005 06:39 GMT | 1 |
Thanks to all for the suggestions. What it turned out to be was a simple screw that came out of the points. Once new screw installed and gapped properly the truck started right away. The distributor was set properly as I did check that as well. The remanufactured engine runs

| transurgeon :chips'nflakes in 4L60E filter | 08 Aug 2005 06:38 GMT | 4 |
Could you explain the oil px and circulation system of the 4L60E? I have just examined the 4th filter (drained pan change filter every 25000 Kilometers) and have noted very minor metal flaking and a brittle dark brown coloured material trapped in the filters.

I am shopping for a used suburban, but have noticed that there are a lot more 99s for sale than 98s. Is there a reason for this?

| K1500- 1/2 ton with 3/4 ton drivetrain? | 08 Aug 2005 01:09 GMT | 2 |
My father-in-law has asked me to try to find some info on this setup. He said it was a factory option for about a two-year period (maybe '98-'98 range) and could be identified by the 8-lug wheels. So, yes or no. Does this beast exist? If so, what do I need to be Googling

| Trip Odometer 98 Jimmy | 07 Aug 2005 23:08 GMT | 4 |
All, I have a 98 Jimmy w\90K miles. I just had a tune up, new distributor, new radiator, and new water pump. The truck overheated not too long ago. If the truck sits for a while (8 to 10 hours) the trip odometer resets itself.

| 2000 S10--Lights on all the time??? | 07 Aug 2005 04:39 GMT | 2 |
Today I noticed that all my exterior lights are on all the time....even though it's sunny. If I push the override switch at my headlight switch several times, like I'm trying to turn off the DRLs, they go off and I have manual control with the headlight switch.

| parking brake light 90 4x4 k1500 | 07 Aug 2005 00:06 GMT | 2 |
My parking light is on and I was wondering if anyone could tell me why. My brake lights work, no slug in the peddle, don't have to press hard on the brake to get it to stop, there is no play in the peddle, there is no air in the brake lines, there are no leaks, and no noises ...

| How to replace the electric window motor in a 93 Jimmy | 06 Aug 2005 16:44 GMT | 2 |
Just a bit of advice from personal experience. The window motor in my 93 S-15 Jimmy needed replacement. I bought the replacement motor from a dealer. The enclosed instructions, along with the (pretty worthless) Chilton manual were not adequate.
