Got my brakes fixed, all is well with them.  But now...
...on my way home tonight, everything was working great, AC was blowing
hard, radio on, charging my cell phone, cruise control on, etc., all
the normal stuff.

I have a 2005 Tahoe and last night I was getting gas for my lawnmower
and some of the gas spilled out of the container and onto the black
plastic of the automatic window buttons.  The plastic changed from a
dark black to a lighter shade of black where the gasoline was.

I have been told that pre 96 model 5.7L, you had to disconnect a wire that
went to the computer to time it.  Would this be the same on the 5.7 Vortec?
Is there a trick to it?

The EGR valve has been cleaned out and the MAF has been cleaned as well.
The truck still (97 Cheyenne) still struggling to idle.  Tomorrow, the TB is
coming off of the intake.  This'll be interesting.

I am thinking about buying the Colorado pickup.  Any
ideas on the reliability and quality of the truck.  I haven't had
Chevy's in  20 years, last one was a lemon, had Hondas, Toyotas etc.
Which engine 4 or 5?  I plan on 2 wheel drive with automatic xmsn.

does anyone know what ratios were available for the s-10 rearends   two
wheel drive?
and are the early yrs s-10s width the same as the late models?

I have a 1976 Chevy Cheyenne that I seem to be having engine trouble
with. It runs rough at idle and surges a little when driving. When I
accelerate quickly and let off the gas I hear a popping noise, almost
like a backfire, but it’s not coming from the exhaust. I recently
