I'm looking for detailed info on rebuilding and repairing them.
The question I have at the moment is:

we have a 93 K3500 with a 6.5l TD engine. My question: is it necessary
to take half of the front differential appart to change the oil pump? A
repair shop estimated $500 labor for an exchange.

I have a 1997 GMC Jimmy, i bought a few months ago.
About 3 weeks ago, i started noticing a squeaking noise, i thought it
was just a loose belt or something because it was just a light noise
and i didn't always hear it. Then it started getting louder and louder

these conditions  occur intermittenly,won't idle,runs rough at idle, rpms
fluctuate much at idle, at stops engine stalls then starts fine.
trottle position sensor ok, map sensor ok, egr valve replaced.

When I engage the 4 wheel drive on my 01 4x4 1500
Silverado the light blinks but it will not engage in hi or low range. How do
you troubleshoot it. In the  two wheel mode the light stays solid

Relatively new problem-- drive over 50mph and there is a vibration, mainly
felt in steering wheel.  It has been very cold and snowy here, until
yesterday.  We had a warm up today, 40 degrees.  Snow and ice melted...

  I have a new '05 Astro cargo van. Anyone else have trouble with the
3rd-member (differential) singing to them??? The dealer has replaced the
ring/pinion once already at 2100 miles/ now at 4500, it's doing an
encore and the dealer(s) tell me it's normal....What a bunch of BS!

My 1981 K-20 had 9.50 x 16.5 tires that were 30" tall
I replaced them with BFG 12.50 x 16.5 that are 33" tall
I used SnoMan's web site to see how far the speedo was off
at 85 it was 93.5

sorry did"nt finsih my post. after cool down about 45 minutes engine
restarts. during no-start conditions, fuel is present at tbi/fuel line
connection when key turned on.have spsrk from coil to distributor.have
spark at plug wire. have power at wires at top ofboth injectors. during
