335 CID  (305 stroker) any opinions?28 Nov 2005 02:25 GMT6
I've built several good 383's. They are a good choice for large 4X4's.
Plenty of low end torque with the proper cam. They can get those 35 inch
tires turning. I know alot are going to say why stroke a 305, spend that $
on a 5.7 block. Well, been there done that. Ive acumulated a ...

It only seems to do it when I first give it gas.
Anyone have any idea?
99 Blazer wont blow heat to floor27 Nov 2005 14:47 GMT4
When I have the selector set to floor heat, the air comes out at the
windshield exhaust as if I had the defroster selected. The 4 dashboard vents
do work when they are selected, but I can never get discharge to the floor.
Does anyone know where the dashpot is located that directs ...

6.5 marine inj. 40hp for real?26 Nov 2005 14:40 GMT1
I want to replace my 300,000 km injectors on my 94 6.5 GM diesel - I have a
brand new motor with less than 5000 km on it. I see claims of 40 hp gains
being made by companies selling marine injectors for the 6.5. Is there any
truth to these claims?

S-10 fuel problem25 Nov 2005 20:36 GMT1
I just bought a 99 S-10, 4x4, 60k, auto, 4.3, extended cab... beautiful
truck. Anyway, that was about a month ago. For about 2 weeks now, it's
been having the oddest fuel problem I've heard of.
For the most part, the truck typically runs fine. But for apparently no
Best Tranny Rebuild Parts25 Nov 2005 19:23 GMT1
I have an '02 Chevy Silverado 1500 2WD with the 5.3L gas engine. Not
too long ago, the "slammer shift" from 1st to 2nd apparently broke the
(sun shell?) and I now don't have 2nd, 4th, or Reverse. I'd like to try
to rebuild it myself, and need help finding the best OEM parts. If

My 1998 K1500 transmission is headed south (160k miles).
I can get a rebuild from a GM dealer for $1600.
Does anyone have any experience replacing the transmission and have any
comments on the difficulty of the procedure?  Is it necessary to remove any

RE: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEMS WITH VOLTAGE24 Nov 2005 19:13 GMT20
I have a 97 Chevy Blazer 4x4 with a little over 113K miles. I've been
having problems with the voltage for a while now. The voltage gauge
swings from 14v to about 10.5v when I stop at a traffic light or a stop
sign. I'm convinced the gauge is not to blame because when I put a load
