| Truck Market Depressed | 24 Nov 2005 03:23 GMT | 1 |
I know the big trucks are moving slowly these days, but what about the compacts? I know I traded in my Sonoma last year and got a couple thousand more than KBB suggested I would get from the dealer on a trade-in. Almost as much as they listed for a private party sale. Since ...

| [possible prolapsed tailshaft spline on GMS S-15 truck | 24 Nov 2005 02:23 GMT | 5 |
I have an 82 GMC S-15, v6 2.8L, 2 wheel drive, long wheelbase. After 140,000 or so miles, one of the driveshaft U-joints disintegrated, and the subsequent flailing around destroyed the equally old driveshaft support bearing and cushion (it's a 2 piece driveshaft).

Anyone added the parts/equipment to a manual steering vehicle? Is it fairly strait-forward, or a real pain? This will be on a '93 Nissan truck, not my Silverado. Thanks, GC

| Strange trouble with S10 transmission | 23 Nov 2005 12:56 GMT | 4 |
I've noticed the last winter that when I shift my 92 S10 Blazer into 4 wheel high, it works great. When I shift it out, the wheels disengage but the light on the console still shows it is in 4 wheel. The front wheels do not spin so that part is not engaged but at higher speeds ...

The plastic housing around the driver's side door handle has cracked so that the whole assembly (lock and all) is starting to come out of the door. I can still open, close and lock the door, but the handle definetly needs replacement. I assume that I only need to replace the

I've read a lot about intake manifold gaskets, and now I am facing the problem myself. I just got a rip-off estimate (my opinion) for the repair of my rig. Evidently everything went south at the same time last night driving home. Within a 1-2 mile stretch of road, my temp
