voltage fluctuations12 Nov 2005 00:51 GMT7
My voltage jumps around from 13.0 to 14.0. It usually starts in the
normal range,~13.8, but shortly drops to 13.0-13.4 and pretty much stays
there with the occasional excursion upward. Is it the
alternator/regulator or could a faulty battery cause the regulator to

I've heard for some time; Nissan called the Japanese Chevrolet, and

one. Seriously, I didn't buy for that reason, just like 'em. Am also

What Is This Object Under Hood of 87 C30? 11 Nov 2005 01:23 GMT2
About one year ago I bought an 87 C30.
As a preliminary question, what is the copper-colored

must be a filter.  Is it?  Does it unscrew?  Is it at

I decided to change the transmission fluid and filter on my 1998 K1500.

squeaky belt?10 Nov 2005 06:18 GMT12
My '98 K1500 makes a squeaking sound when it is running and I believe it is
the belt or possibly a bearing in one of the items the belt goes to.  Any
ideas on what it may be or if it is the belt itself, is there some sort of
belt dressing I can put on it to quiet it down?  The ...
