Learned I need to replace my catalytic converter on 91 Suburban.  Got about
163k miles out of the factory unit, which I expect is about right.
Two questions:
What is the general life of catalytic converters?

The heater blower only runs on high. I bought a new Blower Resistor but I
cant find the old one. Where the heck is it? I heard it was behind the glove
box but I dont see it there.Any hints ?

my truck seemed like it would be a little slow starting up, like a
really low idle for a few seconds.  i went out of town for two days
with my truck running fine, get back two days later and drive my truck

I recently purchased this truck.  After driving it a bit, a day came i
needed the defrost. Nothing comes out.  If you turn it up on high, you
can feel a bit of air, and it really whistles. Same for turning it to
regular heat and also in the vents.  I get a good amount of air out the

truck wont start on its now untill i put alittle fuel in carb. then it will
run as long as i keep foot on fuel peddal as soon as i let off gas then it
shuts off. i changed fuel pump filter fuel regulator throtle body sensor
idle control valve. dont know what elst to do.

I have a 2003 2500HD diesel with the Allison trans. I changed the filters
and fluid at 30000 miles. I tow occasionly and plow snow. I now have 67000
miles and the trans stopped shifting. I only have 3 speeds out of 5, engine
light is on, Shift indicator  shows 3 when in drive. ...

connection being made to turn over engine to start.  Replaced Starter and

I have a 2000 silverado LS Z71 with 5.3l and 66k on the clock.  The
truck hasn't been driven much in the last year and until recently ran
perfectly.  I always turn the key to the run position for about 3-5
secs before starting so that might have caused the issue also.

Well...  After chasing vacuum gremlins and verifying fuel pressure was
correct, the only other thing was the float height.
After reading a less than descriptive Edelbrock manual, emailing
Edelbrock's tech (non)support, and consulting you fine people, I

I'm having a problem with the converter cycling in and out under light
throttle. Everything is fine once I get up to about 40 mph on flat road. The
