Has anyone changed their thermostat to a cooler one 195  to 180 for example
and  or has anyone changed their cap from 16 to 10/12 lbs  and what where

I have a '98 Blazer with the 4.3L engine.  For about 1 year it has been
running very rough, especially when it is damp outside and it has sat
overnight.  It usually will run well after about 30 minutes or so.
It has also gotten so bad on 3 occassions that it won't start at all

I am looking for a 1978-1980 3/4 ton 4x4 frame and running gear in
reasonably good condition. Anyone have any guess about what would be a
decent price to pay ?

my truck has 165k on it,runs strong and everything works(4x4), but while
driving i can hear a whirring sound from the left front side, kinda sounds
like a seal squeeking on the axle. It is speed related but the bearings
feel good. Could it be an axle seal dried and squeeling? it is ...

My truck has been struggling to start in the mornings, especially when it's
humid outside.  I thought for it needed a tune up, I have 140,000km on it,
and never had a garage touch it.  I got a garage to tune it up, new plugs,
wires, cap, rotor etc.  The stupid thing starts better ...

I was wondering if my warranty (not the oringinal 36k/3yrs, but

Help! My 91 chevy truck is not getting fire at all. I have replaced the
ignition switch, coil, ignition modual,computer, dist cap and rotor. There
is 12volts to the coil and 12volts from the coil to the modual but nothing
out the top post of the coil. I've heard of buying bad coils ...

88 k-series, 4x4, 5.7.
During acceleration it knocks. Kinda like like low octane knock, but
not as deep as bottom end knock (thank God). Problem is I've never had
low octane knock in 250K miles. A friend who is a mechanic for UPS said

A 2000 Astro. Been losing coolant for about a month, i thought it was a
leak but never saw a puddle. yesterday overheated. looks like its right
behind the alternator. thinking its the thermostat. how do i get to it.
i've tried b4 and i cant figure out how to remove the doghouse.
