I'm considering taking a very long road trip to northern Quebec and Labrador. That's the real North, very remote and wild, with very poorly maintained gravel roads (huge potholes, etc) and very few gas stations. Later, I'd like to drive to Yukon territory and Alaska.

Have a 1997 GMC half ton. Has the 350 vortec in it. Fuel pump died while driving it. Towed home. Did the old dump bed trick to change the fuel pump. pull 6 bolts and loosen the 2 close to the tailgate and lift the bed up from the front. Easy acces to the pump.

I have a 1998 Blazer that I bought new back in Dec 1997. The seat adjustment handle on the side of the seat broke twice during the warranty period. It just broke for the 3rd time without even touching it. I just found in laying of the floor. I'm the only driver on this truck so ...

i have my drive shaft apart and i am trying to get that support bearing in the middle of the shaft off now and i wont come off...is there some kind of lock on this bearing?

Im working on my truck and i cant get the driveshaft to split but i have to get it apart to get the center bearing out is ther a trick to this? shouldnt it just slide off? i took the back U-joint out so the shaft is loose but it just wont separate...any advice would help

This morning I tried to use my heat. I get warm air from the vents for about 15 seconds and then it goes cold. I moved to control switch back to off and then to vent, same thing. Any thing quick to look for?

My 6.5 threw it serpentine belt. Water pump, alternator, idler, AC all turn freely. to the passenger side , left of the water pump and crankshaft is a pulley I can't identify. Looks like a vacuum pump. Anybody know what it is? It does not turn more than 1/8 rotation.

Any one know how to change out the power steering hoses. I have a hose that is leaking at the point where the metal pipe from the pump joins to a rubber hose. I cannot figure out how to split the hose from the metal pipe at that point. Any advise would be welcome.
