Good day.  I have come to the conclusion that the brake switch is not the
problem.  I say this because we have tried different ones.  The strangest
thisng is that when I disconnect the brake switch from under the dash, the
lights are still on.  Is this normal.  Where else might I be ...

Ok was planning on doing front brakes on my 89 GMC 1ton 4x4 today. So
the other day I read up in my factory service manual, looks like an
easy job, so I get all the parts, and today I get to work. Well, the
service man didn't tell me but it looks like the rotors are press fit?

My 1995  G20 van surges between 55 and 70mph.  I have changed the throotle
body fuel sensor, the map sensor, the tp sensor, the wires and plugs, cap and
rotor, EGR valve and EGR modulator, new fuel cap, O2 sensor, burped the
cooling system, and now I just don't know what to do.  Van ...

Cable is good, turns by hand fine. Hooked back up to trans block, and it
doesnt turn when I hold the other end of it in the truck and drive. So I
think the problem is in the trans area, but is this a removable sub unit or

    I just replaced my leaking intake manifold gaskets, went to start it
and it runs like crap (surges between 500 and 2000 rpm and dies) and set
1345 code. I pulled the distributor to make sure i had it installed

brake lights stuck on.  even when truck is shut off.  where would the problem
be found?  could it be even because of a burnt bulb - i don't think so, but
who knows.  any help PLEASE.

I have what seems to be a very minor oil leak.
The shop said the oil lines are bad and this is a very common problem with
Jimmy/Blazer in the years of the style I have (2001)

also a lug centric version. Do I need to order hub centric wheels for
my truck?

I was wondering if i am the only one thats thinks this way. i had a 1999 s10
step side with a 4.3 and auto. it ran great and got between 16 and 17 mpg in
the mts where i live . and thats with my foot in it all the time. it was

I have a chevy truck that has a problem w/the wires arcing at the boots that
surround the plugs. It doesn't do it when the engine is cold. But after it
warms up about 10 minutes it starts idling rough and at night I can see the

I have a problem will a new 383 I built that started after having 18K
miles on this engine. The problem is a knock sound that only happens
when the temperature outside is cold. For example, if it's in the
morning and the temp is below 45'F for example, I have a knock that

I have a 1978 GMC Sierra Classic pickup that came from the factory with
the Olds 350 diesel engine and TH400 transmission.  Somewhere along the
line the diesel puked and it was replaced with an Oldsmobile 350 gas
engine since all the block mounting points and bellhousing patterns ...
