everyone everywhere else just gets into agruments and never comes to a
conclusion...

Aftermarket suspension24 Jun 2006 11:26 GMT3
A couple of leaf springs cracked on the weekend,  I just about passed out
when I priced a replacement at the auto parts store.  I'm driving an 86 chev
1/2 ton.  A new spring bundle: $285.   I called around to some wreckers,  I
managed to find a guy who says he thinks he has some, ...
2000 Sierra - heater sometimes sticks on23 Jun 2006 23:50 GMT2
What part should I check for this?  Sometimes if the heater has been
on, if I turn the temp control back down to cold, the heater likes to
sometimes just stay on 'hot'.  Sometimes parking for a while and
restarting, it might then reset back to cold.  Truck has a/c.  thanks
1992 Chevy C1500 pickup vibration23 Jun 2006 23:15 GMT6
At around 40mph, there is a vibration that occurs.  If you speed up or slow
down a little bit, it goes away.  I don't believe it's the tires or wheels
because new ones have been installed since we noticed this.  What else would
you look for?
94 truck timing chain23 Jun 2006 22:39 GMT2
My 94 Chevy truck, 350 cid, has developed a rough idle, rich exhaust
condition, loss of power, spark knock hot or cold engine (even when
motor is first started up in the morning). It started last week without
warning. I'm assuming timing chain is ready to jump. Should I get a set ...

Broken Temp Gauge23 Jun 2006 16:27 GMT6
Hey, I posted this message before and received no responses.  Can
anyone help me out with this? I have a 98 Sonoma 4.3L, and the temp
gauge is not working.  Has anyone ever had this problem before? The
temp sensor has recently been replaced so I think it may be the gauge
trailer wiring 99 suburban23 Jun 2006 16:08 GMT8
I have a 1999 Suburban that I am trying to wire a 7 pin RV plug on.
My question is about installing a brake controller and auxillary power.
The owners manual says that there is a "Light-Duty Wiring Harness" & an
"Additional Heavy-Duty Wiring" harness.  The light duty harness is ...
stereo speakers23 Jun 2006 06:25 GMT2
I have a 95 Jimmy that over the years speakers one by one quit working until
only one played. I know the stock stereo has given other owners issues so I
had a new pioneer installed and still only one speaker plays. 8~(  I find it
hard to believe these speakers went bad and think ...

One day you get in the car, you last drove it in 2wd hi. None of the lights
tell you what mode you are in. No big deal, dead light bulb. Drives normal.
A week or so later you get in, start it up, ALL modes are lit. Drives
Fuel Gauge Woe's22 Jun 2006 20:37 GMT3
I'm sure it's been mentioned before but I'm sorry I haven't been on this group
for a while but the fuel gauge in my '98 Z71 is a long way off. It never goes
below 1/2 full even though I could be sniffin' fumes in the tank. In fact when
it gets really empty the fuel gauge climbs ...
Front end shake when cold22 Jun 2006 18:41 GMT6
Our 2005 crew cab (2wd) shakes when going over bumps as if something is
loose in the front end, but only for the first few miles.  After
driving for a while, it feels solid.  Checked wheel bearings, they are
o.k.  Nothing obviously loose.
04 Trailblazer stalling, now wont start at all22 Jun 2006 15:45 GMT2
My TB has, on occassion, stalled while driving. It turns off and the
gauges start to flop all over, back and forth. When this happened I
could put it in N and turn the key off then restart the motor. It did
that last weekend but after being home a few hours I tried to start it.
