Hi, all. I've got a 1998 2500 Van with a 5.0L engine that's generating a P0340 shortly after start and immediately again after it's cleared. When it's raining or very humid out it's running poorly, stalling, has no power.

| 06 Silverado Cabin Filter | 15 Jul 2006 15:13 GMT | 1 |
Did they eliminate the cabin air filters since '01? Bought an '06 Crew with 5.3 and traded in my '01 Z71 with the same 5.3, but I can't find any info on cabin filters for my new truck. I didn't find them under the glove box when I removed the cover and nothing in the manual.

| Question Regarding VIN numbers | 14 Jul 2006 14:17 GMT | 2 |
Is there a site that allows one to decode the VIN number of their vehicle? It's a curiousity that has plagued me for years, but was forgotten until I started looking for a late mode used/pre-owned vehicle. TIA

| Trans problem - 98 Astro | 14 Jul 2006 13:30 GMT | 3 |
Thought I'd ask for some advice: After running for an hour or so, trans shifts hard (feels like something's "kicking" the van in the rear). 1st to 2nd is really bad, 2nd to 3rd not so bad.

Hey! My '99 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Z71 makes this noise whenever it is idling that sounds like a high-pitched chirp. And then whenever I start accelerating I can hear a clicking noise. As I lift my foot off the gas it decreases in frequency and once I take my foot off the gas the

| 2500HD vs 3500SRW (again) | 13 Jul 2006 15:58 GMT | 3 |
Based on info received here (and from a dealer), I thought I understood that an '06 3500SRW truck has ONE additional rear leaf spring per side on the rear axle. But here's another opinion: " The common approach is to add an additional leaf to an existing spring

| Fresh/Recycle Door cycles. | 13 Jul 2006 05:45 GMT | 2 |
Here's a strange one (as are most electrical probs it seems). If I run the A/C when it is hot outside, it will automatically go to recirculate mode (where it stays) until I hit about 45 - 50 mph. then it will go back to fresh which is where I have it set. (and no, I don't have
