Edelbrock MPFI #3502, Anybody get this to work?15 Jul 2006 23:48 GMT2
I installed this MPFI manifold on my 91 Suburban, 350, VIN K, V2500.
The motor has just finished being rebuilt, everything is new or made the
trip to the machine shop.  As far as I can tell, all wiring is good, I
have rechecked and even re wired just to be sure.  I wrote an ...

raining or very humid out it's running poorly, stalling, has no power.

06 Silverado Cabin Filter15 Jul 2006 15:13 GMT1
Did they eliminate the cabin air filters since '01? Bought an '06 Crew with
5.3 and traded in my '01 Z71 with the same 5.3, but I can't find any info on
cabin filters for my new truck. I didn't find them under the glove box when
I removed the cover and nothing in the manual.

It doesnt matter what gear or neutral the trans or transfer case is in.
Nothing changes it. Brakes and tires/wheels have been changed over time. No
change. Does anyone have any ideas?

Question Regarding VIN numbers14 Jul 2006 14:17 GMT2
Is there a site that allows one to decode the VIN number of their vehicle?
It's a curiousity that has plagued me for years, but was forgotten until I
started looking for a late mode used/pre-owned vehicle.
TIA
Trans problem - 98 Astro14 Jul 2006 13:30 GMT3
Thought I'd ask for some advice:
After running for an hour or so, trans shifts hard (feels like something's
"kicking" the van in the rear). 1st to 2nd is really bad, 2nd to 3rd not so
bad.
Clicking and Chirping14 Jul 2006 04:17 GMT2
Hey! My '99 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Z71 makes this noise whenever it is
idling that sounds like a high-pitched chirp. And then whenever I start
accelerating I can hear a clicking noise. As I lift my foot off the gas
it decreases in frequency and once I take my foot off the gas the

My son has a '02 trailblazer with the 4.2 vortec. It sounds as if a camshaft
is broke, or maybe he dropped a valve. It is very loud inside the oil filler
neck when I listened through a hose, and not near as loud through the
dipstick tube The engine seems to run ok, and he says ...
2500HD vs 3500SRW (again)13 Jul 2006 15:58 GMT3
Based on info received here (and from a dealer), I thought I understood
that an '06 3500SRW truck has ONE additional rear leaf spring per side
on the rear axle. But here's another opinion:
" The common approach is to add an additional leaf to an existing spring
Fresh/Recycle Door cycles.13 Jul 2006 05:45 GMT2
Here's a strange one (as are most electrical probs it seems).
If I run the A/C when it is hot outside, it will automatically go to
recirculate mode (where it stays) until I hit about 45 - 50 mph. then it
