when is the recommended mileage to change front and rear differ. fluid? 2004 gmc sierra sle extended cab 4x4 with the 5.3 and 32,000 miles. all i can find in owners manual is the transfer case fluid. i never take this truck off roading.

Anyone got a quick way to seal off this service port? Also, is a metal cap available for this port and how tight can one tighten the plastic one without stripping it? Looks like the port is part of the block/hose assy and not replacable.
