I have a 72 chevy pickup with a 3 in the tree shift mechanism. When I'm
shifting from 1st to 2nd I get all sorts of grief in that the linkage
will not permit me to shift to 2nd gear.
I've recently discovered that if I put some pressure on the shift lever

I was informed that the duramax will run on diesel and ethanol. How does
this work? Do you just add ethanol on top of the diesel...drain the tank or
what?
Also, how long will the engine last if you run ethanol? Will it still last

Went out today fired up the truck it ran for 5 seconds and shuts off... It
shuts the fuel off, thought oil pressure at first not letting fuel pump run,
but it has almost 60 psi at start up. Ran codes and got a 45 (rich O2
sensor)... it only runs on the 5 second timer...

I like the design and convenience of the avalanche bed cover.  The one
I saw had 3 or 4 interlocking panels that can be removed and stored in
the cab.  Does anyone know if there is a similar aftermarket cover that
can be used on fords.  Preferably leaving the steak pockets ...

Hi, I just got another suv, my 4th chevy!!  This one is a 93 Jimmy SLT.
It has the 4.3 Vortec cpi (central port injection).  It was running
real bad, but the engine sounded mechanically ok, so I bought it.  I
changed plugs, cap, rotor, wires and it sounds better but still

In my 2003 2500 I have this small round cap in the headliner just above the
drivers window.  It has some holes in it and I can hear what sounds like a
small pump running.  I only notice this when its cold outside.  Nothing in
the owners manual so what the heck is it???

The hot weather has caused the rearview mirror to fall off the windshield.
I have the new glue, but I cannot get the mounting button (the little
headstone looking piece of metal) off the mirror, to glue it back on the
windshield.  Any secret to this?  I am afraid to hammer it out ...

Don't know how it happened, but when wife called with no steering and
overheated van in the local Sam's club parking lot, I found this
instead of the assumed busted fan belt. Alternator, tension pulley, and
idler pulley along with the bracket were tilted forward a bit. All 3

On my 05 Tahoe is there a way to make the factory fog lights be on whenever
my headlights turn on?  I like to have them on but hate to push the button
every time I remember.  Is there a setting I can change in computer at
dealer?

Can anyone give me some input. I just put a new 350 long block in my
1993 chevy  K1500 PU. I had the intake manifold cleaned at a machine
shop, New distrebutor, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, o2 sensor, fuel
filter,  thourghly cleaned TBI carburator, every thing tourqed to spec.

my 5,3 vortec was starting without oilpressure a few days ago and i could
hear engine noise - today i tried again and i had pressure.
but when i´m reving to 5500 rpm the pressure gauge goes up to 550
any ideas for me `??

What are the actual  max load rating for stock 2500HD 16x6.5 steel
wheels and stock 3500 16x7 steel wheels? NOT the tire ratings - the
wheel max load rating that used to be stamped on wheels.
