Just bought an 06 silverardo and now have 700 miles on it. My truck has a v-6 and a 5 speed manual trans. When I shift gears, normally one of the lower gears, I have a clunk that drives me nuts. It sounds like it is coming from the transmission

My 1996 V6 Blazer decided to die today after work. It started up and ran for about 2 minutes and then just stopped in the parking lot. It has the typical 'out of gas' while cranking sound. One thing I do notice now, just before turning the key to try and start it,

| 1967 Chevy C40 motor id by casting #? | 12 Aug 2006 05:27 GMT | 2 |
Would anyone here have the ability to ID a motor (cu") for this truck via the casting #? I have contacted a couple machine shops and dealerships around but the machine shops say their books arent going back far enough and the dealers are pretty much useless.

| 4L60E: Hard shifts again w/57k on re-sleeved valve body? | 12 Aug 2006 04:00 GMT | 9 |
Is another valve body failure a sure thing? Or could there be other causes? My recollection is that the re-sleeving was supposed tb a relatively permanent fix. But 57k on the re-sleeve vs 30-40k on the replacements doesn't seem like that much of an improvement.

The fuel gauge on my '85 g30 van isn't working. I have a Haynes manual that isn't any help at all in this regard. There is an electrical wire dangling from the engine that should connect to the crankcase(?) on the driver's side. It's a tab and slot

I have an 89 4.3 4x4 s10 that is used at the beach an awful lot, and can be driven on the beach and around a small town. I was wondering how difficult it would be to make the doors removable. It has manual everything so there are no wires to worry about. It looks like i could

I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe and it seems to be having a problem with the steering. Every now and then, whenever it wants actually, the steering seems to just go loose. That is, if you're driving down the road and you go around a corner the vehicle steers in the right direction, but

I've had my 1992 S-10 Blazer for a litle over a year, and it's been a great first car for me. But lately for about the past month, it has been running a little rough, and I tried cleaning out the injector, which made it bearable for a while. I also changed the plugs and wires and ...
