Rear axle question?15 Sep 2006 06:52 GMT15
I have a 98 chevy 1/2 ton.  I have the 9.5 inch 14 bolt rearend.  I was
wondering which other vehicles would have this same one.  My pinion
bearing went out which in turn ruined every gear inside the case and I
thought it would be easier to just replace the entire axle assembly

Hi...
Recently, during some random reading done out of boredom, I became
aware of the 292ci I6 engine that was available in Chevy full-size

I have 1996 1500 V8. I'm sole owner and an old man.  I do believe I'm still

I am frustrated to say the least.  In the last year I have replaced:

91 chevy suburban14 Sep 2006 14:00 GMT7
After not using my beast for a few months-winter, I had to replace a corroded
dist.  Ever since, when driving, acceleration is fine, idle fine, but when
backing off acceleration and maintaining speed, it bucks and backfires like
it's running out of gas.  Then I'll put my foot back ...

I am trying to replace a badly decomposed steering wheel. Stripped out one

I am too poor to pay some one to do it. I am trying to get ...

Any recommendations or advice which is better: Chilton vs. Haynes?  I'm

maintenance/repairs and would like to know what might be better suited
for me?  Any advice is appreciated.
Duramax Piston-to-Bore Clearance13 Sep 2006 00:14 GMT4
Looking for information on the Piston-to-Bore clearance of the 6.6L
Duramax.  This is information that should be in the shop manual (if I
had access to one).  Need to know the clearance spec. and if there is
more than one piston grade.  Thx.

2006 Chev Colorado Off Road12 Sep 2006 05:59 GMT2
Are wheel seals a problem on these trucks?  Have noticed lubricant splashed
along side of the truck.  Was advised that this is coming from the wheels.
First told that the dealer would give me cleaner for it, however, when
suggesting a broken seal might be the problem........make a ...
